Do "canonical" tags make it impossible to rank WL?
I see that all my WL cam sites have the "canonical" TAG in the code, pointing to the original cam site. Will this make WL sites impossible to rank in google/bing ?

They don't but the original site will most likely always rank better than you and that's obviously not good for your conversions.
