Buying traffic to xxx sites

I am researching the topic of buying traffic (lets say skimmed, Traffic Holder / Traffic Shop) to xxx sites.

In general, webmasters buy traffic in order to get visitors, and attempt to make them do, whatever generates profit for them. Skimmed traffic does not directly convert, so in general, it does not make sense to send it to places like paysites.

I have a general idea about webcam, dating, and cj sites, but I am wondering what is the goal of buying traffic to a tube site?

a) make money on selling ad spots at a flat rate (the more traffic, the more expensive an ad is)?
b) make money on impressions and clicks on banners from places like Exoclick?
c) get some of the money back on popunder added to a site?

d) expect people to bookmark the site and keep coming back as direct traffic?

What is the goal / financial benefit (short and LONG TERM) of buying skimmed traffic to a tube site? I know that most of the big tubes like xHamster.com buy traffic from webmasters too.

Why a tube owner would be buying skimmed traffic to his / her site?
Why xHamster.com buys traffic to their site? How do they benefit, long-term?

What is the ROI of buying traffic to an xxx tube site?

Thank you.

Depending on where you buy the traffic, the quality can be much better than the organic traffic that you may get. For instance if you buy traffic from a porn site that get's organic traffic from a "money keyword" you may convert a whole lot better.

I buy and sell my traffic. My goals short term is to cover expenses, and that allows me to get to my long term goals quicker. For instance if I have a bad month, but sell mobile traffic, and still have enough to expand and build another, that is good for short term and long term for me.

This one is buying skimmed traffic from Traffic Shop (I will get urls of 1000 or more sites like that, and try to figure out what they do). One thing this person is doing is selling 3 popunders with the first 3 clicks on the site (through some kind of redirection / script). Also, some kind of Cj site, more popunders and ads on the deeper pages too...

I mean, in general, is there a way to make a website like this and make money by buying traffic? It should not be that way, because everybody would do that, and it does not work like that. At the same time, a lot of people buys traffic, and I guess they profit in the end (if they would not profit, they would not do that too). So how does it work?
