You buy bulk traffic to build brand -- that type traffic rarely converts.

Clicked traffic like affiliate tools, text links and some display ads on publisher sites, will covert depending on the traffic source. Be careful of buying overpriced ads on websites that inflate their their traffic statistics with a lot of bulk feeder traffic -- check their bounce rates with Alexa as an indicator.

SEO referrals and AdWords (most CPC [search placement] ) traffic converts.
Email (non-Spam) leads (click throughs) from opt-in lists and newsletters will convert.

If there is a proven (or disclosed) way to make 2%/ per Month current ROI on internet ads everyone would be doing it I know where to find 6 and 7 figure money for that ... Here come the pitch men

Not true. *Most* of the traffic we sell is going to cam sites, being purchased directly by the program owners. But, buying traffic as an affiliate is MUCH MORE difficult.

And, it's not as easy as buying $1000/day of traffic and shooting it to a cam site, and expecting to make $1500/day. It takes a LOT of testing, refining and optimization.

So, in another words, bought traffic is not good as converstion for a webcam website? But, if it converts (for the sake of the discussion), what would be a better choice - a token based webcam website (for example: chaturbate) or a credits based one (for example: livejasmin)?

The conversion rate on bought traffic for webcams is very low ! I bought last week 15$ of traffic from TrafficHolder and I made 17,5$ from that traffic and that is really good usually you don't get your money back ! The only traffic that really convert cams is SE traffic , and from my experience you will make more money from credit/privates based sites ! I started to test xlove on one of my sites I put their promo tool last week in one page of one of my sites were usually I was promoting chaturbate and after just few days I sent only 323 hits , 7 free sign ups and 2,48 euro sales which is pretty good and impossible to be made with that amount of traffic on chaturbate ! Now I am working to build a website where to promote only them !

I find it hard to believe that bought traffic, if that traffic is based on real humans, cant convert or it is too low to worth the trouble. I can agree that SE traffic or any other type of target-traffic can be healthier for a webcam website, but this doesnt mean that bought traffic cant be productive. About getting rich - well, this is another problem. No one said that will / wants / expects to get rich from bought traffic. Everybody is looking to have a decent revenue, or at least, in the beginning, to make a buck, to see things running.

Bought traffic comes from adult websites. Webcam websites are adult sites. It is somehow from the same garden. A person can be redirected to your website from another adult website, he can like your website, he can move around to see some models and he can spend his money, or not. Same risks are found in SE traffic. Of course, i repeat, i am aware that target-traffic can be converted into revenue more easily, but on a simple judgement, i cannot agree on the fact that bought traffic is useless. Secondly, i do not know how many people tested for real some traffic from a place like TrafficHolder to see with their own eyes if it really converts (and i am not talking about spending 15-20 $) and how many got their opinion from one to another.

Also, i see an infusion of webcam websites built on webcamwiz. When you buy traffic and it doesnt convert, it doesnt automatically mean that the traffic is no good. It also can mean that websites built on templates like the ones you have at your disposal with webcamwiz, are ugly and unprofessional. Yes, simple templates can be more constructive, but not unprofessional ones. You cannot expect a real person to take out his credit card and to trust a site looking like that, giving his card details or to spend his money there. Therefore, i can bet my 2 cents that many opinions have been made on webcamwiz websites with bought traffic.

In the end, as a conclusion, what i think is that the image of bought traffic is a bit distorted by subjective opinions. What i have said here is what i have seen around - i did not test it myself, therefore, i can be wrong in everything i have said. This is why i have started this thread, to see pertinent opinions from people who tested it.

last time when i bought niche traffic from TH , their network sent visitors from sites like 1webcamtube ...traffic was kinda crap ..very high bounce rate etc beside that the girls on videos didn't looked like adults to me , maybe if i did block some domains they would offer me same hits different servers to eat my balance

My opinions stand -- I see the conversion stats every day. And we buy 60K to 150K bulk hits a day.

A pig will step in shit in the barnyard sometimes -- so there will be an occasional sale. Buy 50K hits and see for yourself.

Even AdWords and other CPC ads (clicked text traffic) can take months of expense to start showing a return. If you think you are going to buy 1000 hits of skimmed traffic and make 5 sales -- good luck. When you popup or skim you are force-feeding a user and their natural reaction is to close the popup or redirect. They see your name and that is the branding value. No broadcast cam website sells its cam traffic -- so here the hell do you think the 'cam traffic' is coming from?

This type of traffic is good for branding and little else.
