Hello all.

My names Tim, I've been interested in this field for awhile and my partner shares my interest. We are setting up to be content shooters and start an exclusive Solo girl site (At least at first). Things are always up to change of course.

Right now were nailing things down and starting to move into making this a valid process. Were most likely going with Adultbizlaw as our legal rep and to get our contracts. Were hoping to purchase some HD Cameras this weekend, were looking at two Cameras, and I have a professional live set photographer that's willing to work free for awhile. So I think simultaneous angels as well as a live set photographer is a nice start.

On top of all that I've looked into a lot of programs and I've found a few I'm interested in (I've been lurking about a week). Not interested at spam atm, as I like the programs I've looked into. My buddy is also pretty decent with CSS so we can create a decent page.

Were probably also going to start a free site or two, hook it up with Sextronix and eventually the Paysite we wish to create when we have filmed enough content.

Anyways, thats a general introduction and a little about what were doing. I've done a good amount of research and I'm hoping to learn as much as possible here at GFY.

Again, I am a novice. Any and all advice, good or bad I'd love to hear.

Good luck to you, its a tough area of the industry to get into right now. I know I am getting into it and have 5 years under my belt as an adult star. Do everything you can to get notoriety. Without a budget to pay models upfront tho it is VERY hard.

We have a small budget, thus far we have about 10 interesting girls were looking to film, as well as the cash to film them. Including one cute redhead ;p

I can't imagine making any money from "solo" material but I guess it's done. I've been producing my own stuff, very hardcore, for 5 years and making my living at it. I quit my job 4 months after starting. It's getting slow because every time the retard Obama spends a Trillion bucks on welfare my profits go down!
Make sure you buy a 3 head (3 chip) camera. It's much better then the so called "high def" single head consumer crap. The 3 head cameras are called 'prosumer" and are what most porn companies use. I have a high def, 3 chip, sony.
Have a merchant account yet? Will cost at least a thousand bucks. And of course traffic is the hardest part. I own 50 free sites that link key words to my one paysite.
I've lived off this paysite for 5 years but I still have a long way to go! I'm currently looking for good people to network with and share information with.

We do not have a merchant account yet, we may not have one for awhile. We plan to start small to get our feet wet, but I have a partner so the financial burden is split. Honestly in the very beginning we may just throw things up on c4s and see what happens.

I will say the merchant account is one of the only things I haven't fully researched yet, I thought pricing would be cheaper than what you said. But thats great info, it's something I noted yet neglected to check up on, and now I know where to divert my attention

CCBill is out right one of the best and has a solid rep for coming thru. They offer alot of extra's and have great rates. I fully recommend them for all your merchant needs.

As for 3ccd camera's he is right but they do have a couple $6k to $10k HD 3ccd camera's i actually have access to a panosonic version and they are GREAT let me tell you, they have HDV for 1080i and the HD card for full 1080p recording and also offer Standard Def. I will get you the model number.

Thanks Smokie. Were going with consumer level HD, $600~ cameras, I don't think we want to get one cam for $1200 though, we'll see.
