Mobile traffic, screen resolution

So I realised the other day 10,000 (2.5%) of my traffic is from iPhone/iPod users and I want to setup something to capture them. A few questions follow as I know there are some real mobile traffic guru's on gfy.

1. Is it still common practice to push mobile traffic into a /m/ subfolder? I'm sure I read this somewhere.

2. What's the best resolution to make the sub-site? This 2.5% of traffic is reporting 396x320 (Portrait?), but iPhones are 320x480 aren't they?

Thanks in advance!
