Site 8-10K monthly visitors.. no conversions.. :(

I own www.nudicity.com it is getting a steady 8-10K visitors a month with no real promotion work. What I need to know is what programs should I be working with to get real conversions. I am thinking I need some unique stuff instead of all the mainstream. Should I be focused on another niche like Cams/Dating?

What's a realistic expectation of conversions per month. I can easily start building those new sites into the feed.

I think it is your site lay-out that is the problem. You give visitors the chance to watch the videos but it isn't clear how they should progress if they like that particular video and want to see more like it (yes I know it is mentioned in the actual video itself but this isn't enough). When the video finishes playing now, all you have at the moment is a tiny logo for the website in question in the bottom right hand corner of the Media Player - you need to make it MUCH easier for the horny surfer to move on.
Think of it this way . . . the ONLY purpose of your videos is to get the surfer from your site to the sponsors website (in your case GiveMePink, AllInternal, AssTraffic, etc . .). You're not there to entertain, you're not there to have the most beautiful site, you are ONLY there to pass possible sales leads to your sponsor sites.
To fix this problem I would have a banner and text beneath each video so its obvious and easy that if they liked that video they can click there and see more like it.
The other thing I would query is the dates on your site suggest you haven't updated it since March 2009 (with most of the updates being in 2008) - so I would get your content updating more regularly - look into your sponsors RSS feeds to do this automatically.

Totally agree. You need some text under each video saying "Click Here for the Full Length Movie" or something of that nature. I'd also get your top rated videos posted somewhere in that sidebar, if they rated high most likely they'll click thru to your sponsors searching for the full movie.

Of your 8,000, how many raw & unique clicks do you send to PerfectGonzo each day? If you could send ~400 a day, you might get ~15 signups a month depending on your traffic quality (of course).

I have a site of roughly this size, although it's mainly image galleries, it converts at around 1:800 in an average month.

Unfortunately, he is right.

You need to have 8k a day. There is no easy money.

lost of TGP webmasters just make a few sales with 30k a day, so you might wanna try getting more traffic (besides changing the structure on your site)

What's a realistic expectation of conversions per month. I can easily start building those new sites into the feed.
I run a tube site with over 1800 legal videos on it and make no conversions. I'm getting around 4,000 visitor a month now. Here is what I think is why:

1. Too much porn out there for free (porntube, xtube, redtube, and such)
2. Nothing is very unique about the pay porn that would drive the visitor to click to the pay site
3. The promo porn shows a complete scene, and guys looking for whacking material find what they need in the promo porn.
4. Economic downturn has lead to to decline in porn sales, though in past recessions porn sales where unaffected by economic downturns. So other factors are in play
5. Pirated porn is super easy to get. Who has not heard about bittorrent?

The key for a tube site is the number of visitors. I need like 80K visitors a month to start getting the conversion that I would like to see. Problem is that there are crap loads of porn blogs, tube sites and other sites that promote and exhibit exactly what I am showing all competing for my traffic....the end result is that we all starve!!!

I was wondering about essentially the same thing with my blog (http://naturalhairywomen.info/). I have about 15k visitors/month and about 110% of the visits result in a click to my sponsors' FHG/join page. Like the previous people said, no conversions in over 1 month. I've had 2 conversions in the last 3 months. Not exactly anything that can pay hosting fees, etc. with. I know I am very new to the industry, but I would think that I could get at least 1:10k or something like that.

Anyone got suggestions on what I can/should change? Or is it just a matter of working to get 100k visits/month to get any sales? I would think that in a niche like hairy, I would get a better conversion ratio than 0:15k.

BTW: I think my traffic is good (though if anyone thinks otherwise, let me know). 32% is from search engines, 59% is from referring sites and 8% from direct. The top keywords from search engine visits are hairy-related. Most traffic is by far from the US, with Italy, Germany, UK, Canada and France following.

Any ideas?

it depends on what niche your promoting...and how you can get your visitor to purchase.

quality traffic is also important...

You simply don't have enough traffic yet.

Try to improve your layout and ad positions to increase your CTR ( click thru rate ) and work HARD to get a lot more traffic then that.

so...

1) Work to improve CTR
2) Work to get a lot more traffic then what you have now.

Agreed on the CTR, and ratio, if your site doesn't convert well enough from these perspectives it may not be viable no matter how big it gets.

Using Eros' example; In 3 months 45,000 visitors = 2 conversions. If we assume $30 PPS conversions... to get to $1,000 a month you'd need 750,000 visitors (22.5k visitors per sale). That would be a mammoth amount of work for very little return.

Get the CTR up, and ratio down by finding your best converting sponsors... then build traffic.

I have nothing close to your traffic at the moment and still converting, I would try changing sponsors. 750,000 visitors should be making you much more 1K. Also expand what your offering, the visitor will have more choices once at your website.

Thanks for the advice. I'll work on focusing the posts on the sponsors that have converted more, rather than go for more variety of sponsors. Hopefully that will help the CTR and sales.

Browsing your site from my laptop running 1280x9something resolution, 2/3 of the page is just your header. Add in a couple tool bars, and I can barely see the top of the girls hair in your first post, let alone any other enticing content that encourages me to scroll down. You would probably be surprised at the amount of visitors who do not even scroll down to see your calls to action, blog posts or anything else. You have 3 seconds to impress them, put the space in your header to good use!

Exactly my point. The massive mounts of work for the small returns is due to the massive amount of marketers who are marketing exactly what I have. It is exactly like the MLM's out there, they flood the market place with thousands of sales people.

The key is to have something different than the garden variety porn. I have ideas, just looking for partners to get them going.

Try promoting PublicFlash, I think it would fit nicely with your domain name... and it's unique and all-exclusive content that actually converts

I get 8-10k visitors/day, with 4-5K of that from Google, on my niche site (softcore outdoor nudes), but make only 1-2 sales a week on average.

NOTHING wrong with 8k a month and I know guys making nice money from that.

You need to work the layout better. not so much the design. Put in text links and since the site is names NUDE, show some nudity.. All I see in those images is faces.

Lets see some shapes and bodies.

We have more than enough videos to keep you rockin for a Long time. so hit me on ICQ or mail.

8k for a blog isnt that bad if its seo, you should try another sponsor and improve clickthru to tour
do not use to many instant playing flash vids , send more to tours and directly to sponsors. dont expect a good clickthru with flash vids.

I would suggest you change the layout and ad text with each movie. And also mix it up with some static pictures with text linked to galleries.

And to rotate sponsors of different niches and monitor what is getting better results.

Your traffic numbers are high enough to give you something to work with, you now just have to figure out what they were looking for when they came there.

already lots of answers but I'm just repeating.

There isn't any good call to action. The header is a bit in the way and takes up too much space while pushing your content down. What is it you want the new visitor to do on your site? If you want them to be confused and leave you have that down perfectly!
