correct me if i'm wrong but i think jhc is describing a more grey-black-hattish way of doing things and thus the need for all the extra steps to hide you footprint. if you just want to build out a bunch of manual blogs that are hand written that aren't interlinked link pyramid style with super-aggressive link building what he is describing maybe overkill

Yes that's what i thought as well. I appreciate the info but i want to go all whitehat and not worry about visits from Google and quickly delete shit etc.

dont over think it... having several IPs make no sense, seriously..

there are tumblr blogs that get 10K per day and are hosted among other 3000 sites in the same ip.

there are domain names in private servers with a dedicated IP and host, who get 100 hits per day.. easy.

Great example and so true.

Only thing you need to worry about is posting unique and quality content homie. You can have 1000 blogs on 1 ip and be alright as far as SEO.

quoted for truth ....

I am totally stunned -- that the separate C classes myth still runs as strong as it does after being debunked several times over the past 8+ years ...

How do you plan to know which keywords to target ?

anexsia 01-27-2012 08:14 PM

I think some here are going a little overboard on the steps and different ips...I'm about to hit 110 blogs and I've never worried about all the ip stuff.

Adwords, Samurai and just random keywords for random niches. Not gonna target each blog for a single keyword.

How is your linking structure?

HomerSimpson 01-28-2012 03:45 AM

depends on many factors like
- plugins used
- traffic
- server cpu and memory

but using w3 super cache (or similar) caching plugin would help a lot...
I have also some great trick to speedup things a LOT but those co$t money...

Why?- Because it's a BL feeder blog. You get nailed on aggressive back-linking or whatever, they'll take out your whole feeder network because you left a massive footprint. It's more of a precaution ie., damage control then anything. Trust me, when you start making real money, you will have OCD stalker fucks following you everywhere because you kicked the shit out of them in the SERPS.

The best solution is to use Stats counter because you can drop this into any free blog, grab the stalkers I.P. and then put IP Blocker on your free blogs. Why IP blocker? - because this tool has an option that is brilliant, it redirects a selected IP anywhere you want on a second party blog. If in a good mood I'll just redirect them to mylazysundayDOTcom because this will insure they'll have to shutdown their system. If in a bad mood, redirect them to a site where you can read everything thing they type until they catch on. I am joking of course..:)

Whatever happens they'll usually spend the next month complaining to Google, if you're using blogger, they'll say the site is promoting a virus only to have Google think their crazy as the stalker can't figure out it's only their I.P. as they just then go away. In short, if you use blogger, the default stats won't show I.P's and why I highly recommend you drop in Stats Counter.

Anyway, I've seen some hardcore "hand written" blogdogs before, but updating 80 blogs without the aid of feeds and purely organic? You'd have my respect if you make it past six months. You can go to DevShed and buy 50 accounts for $100 bucks. They will come with separate emails as you'll need WebMail Notifier to manage them as you make sure to tell the seller, you also want a mix of Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc.

Depending on what you're doing or targeting key phrase/word for AdSense/Amazon etc the less of a footprint, the more money you'll make as I've posted my AdSense revenues here making $400-$500 a day as they are NOT my primary.

Thanks, once again very interesting info although you are clearly going a different route than i will :)
