Is that Canadian law or just your personally held beliefs? And as someone else said, 17 is not exactly a young boy. I am pretty sure you would have wanted to be called a young man by the time you reached 17. I was at 14.

Here in Canada, you can only retaliate with equal and proportionate force. So if you are in a fist fight, using a hand gun is not justified.

Lets waste taxpayer money though and let zimmermoron have his day in court. I for one can't wait to hear his eloquent speech on how he is a champion of the people. It was just this once he made a mistake and killed a 17 year old KID.


In my mind a boy is a man at 16. However, my feelings on this case wouldn't change even if Zimmermoron had shot down a 47 year old card carrying member of the crips/bloods/whatever. Don't follow people around with loaded guns. If you follow my advice i think you will find it very hard to find yourself in the middle of a murder trial.

I always want to remind people too that he was on the designated sidewalk, walking to the townhome in which he was staying. This was not a thug out to rob the place, no matter how many times it's repeated that "there'd been robberies by black males in that area".

Point being that any dangerous situation was CREATED by the Zimmerman guy.

Are you sure about this? Guess we wont know till the trial, I heard he was walking close to people houses under the roofs, because it was raining. So darting in and out between houses. I believe when the fight took place it was on the sidewalk.

I never heard anything of him darting around under roofs or whatnot. Even Zimmermans own 911 call I believe he said Martin was "looking around at buildings".. He had a preconceived notion that he was casing the place to rob it, according to his own words really.

Hindsight is always different of course but it doesn't matter much. It's already a known fact that Martin was staying there that night and was returning from the store back home.
