I'm well out of the loop it seems.

The answer is pretty much yes...businesses...exhange/buy/sell your data so they eventually have almost 100% of what you may consider to be private information.

Our privacy has been invaded and it has been that way for years and as long as it is little more than an irritant to me...I really do not care. Do I approve of the way things are...no.

Let them listen and jerk off as my girl talks dirty to me ! :)

and if they discover something that could destroy your business ?

I can dig what you're saying there :thumbsup But, specifically, your neighbours, able to listen to every phone call you make, if they so choose - would you care?

I don't think George Orwell could have ever imagined so many being proudly indifferent to Big Brother's spying.

Privacy used to be a right.
It is now a privilege.
Soon it will be a crime.

And not a single person will give a flying fuck :(

Yes...sport. if you have a land line service or if you use a cell phone there is a record of all of the phone calls made. I do not know if any company other than your bank has a record of your bank statements but your overall financial status is shared by multiple companies.

yes, by actually providing pertinent and real information re: the topic and attempting to participate in discussing it, instead of just joining in the bitchfest or not even contributing, like yourself, i am part of the problem, act like a doper and think like a small bird.

got it.

I would care to the point that I would at the least attempt to have them prosecuted and at the most I would personally attempt to put a stop to it

BTW...I just was made aware that you live in the UK and I do not know what may be applicable to the UK..

Ok, you specifically said, that a bunch of companies have a record of all my phone calls, and all my bank statements, just like the gov't has, on account of them buying/selling data, to the tune of pretty much 100% of what I consider private. Which is way different to the above quote, which I already knew, on account of not being a complete idiot (just a partial one :) )

Ok, but what I can't understand is how you don't care that the gov't do so? I can understand the not being able to really do too much about it, directly, but to not even care? Like I've already said, each to their own, and far be it from me to try to make anyone change their minds on it, I just don't get it. Which, I suppose, is ok lol, not like I *have* to get it to make it right for you to regard it as such :upsidedow

The UK thing - for the purposes of caring or not about privacy, that doesn't matter - I'm just using the whole govt can do it etc, not specifically which gov'ts can do which specific things (currently) :thumbsup

No...I did not. This is what I specifically said.

Note "pretty much" and "almost 100%".

I did not realize that you live in the UK and that you are a troll...so you are now dismissed.

Jel 06-30-2013 05:25 PM

so you skimmed over my "to the tune of pretty much 100%", ok.

And lol whut? I'm a troll because I disagree with you? And politely at that... lol, you fucking pompous prick, do one.

You of course cannot post proof because what you have stated is a lie...now isn't that the truth of the matter...sport.

google translate from a german article...

Quote:

A confidential classification makes apparent that the NSA considers Germany as a partner, but also as an attack target. Thus, Germany is among the "third-class partners." Specifically excluded from espionage attacks are only Canada, Australia, Britain and New Zealand. "We can attack the signals of most foreign partner third class - and do this," the NSA boasts in a presentation.
Germany = attack target? really?

Jel 06-30-2013 06:42 PM

'attack' as in snoop though, no? Rather than in the 'start a fight' use of the word I would have thought. I'd be surprised if that didn't also apply vice-versa.

dyna mo 06-30-2013 06:46 PM

it's going to be worse when any of those legislative bills pass that require transparency and access to the fisa court. then a lot more will be revealed.

this is going to be a tough one for obama and the executive branch. he's already on his heels over it.

MaDalton 06-30-2013 06:47 PM

i would be very surprised if the germans had bugged the white house...

but everyone knows anyways - "we come in peace" :winkwink:

I just wanted to say as an American.. This shouldn't be about either of these two guys.. This is the US govt acting badly. This isn't a right or a left issue.. It's a issue of our govt being out of control.

That should be the real focus.. Not Manning or Snowden they are just the messengers.

haven't you noticed? the media sucks Obama's cock

It appears every country on the planet is a attack country aside from a limited few. Canada, Austria, New Zealand and a couple others.
Germany is considered a 3rd tier on our friends list it seems and as such is considered open target.

Guess them folks in Washington are still worried about the Nazis...
