Comparing something like THAT to this is very wrong. What we're seeing now is a president who wants to enforce the UN and other treaties against those weapons. We also see other openings and so he's not being an idiot and charging in anyway. AND naturally now we see political parties claiming that there's no leadership out of the oval office because he's NOT attacking! Fuckers in politics want it every way, lmao. As usual. Anyway, we've been down this before. Some people you could sit on your lap and watch the missiles being launched and landing and people dying from the gas and they would claim no.. I was in the matrix. Oh and by the way, you have my standing on this all wrong. I've said repeatedly that WHOEVER used the chemical weapons should be spanked HARD for it. Whether it's the gov, the rebs, or a third party. I"m not for war. I am all for making it clear that it's wrong. Guess what? They haven't been used since and now it looks like they'll make a deal to get rid of their previously non existent chemical weapons. |
Why would anyone play devil's advocate for Assad, or give him the benefit of the doubt? He has lots of chemical weapons, the delivery system and reason to use them. It's a no brainer.
Does that mean we should get involved? I thought Obama made a good case last night. The Syria situation is more an indirect threat. And you guys posting links from hack journalism sites like RT news and The Examiner doesn't help the conspiracy case at all. |

Notwithstanding,"and reason to use them." Maybe, that should be rephrased: |

The resolution to invade Iraq passed The House by 296-133 It passed the Senate by 77-23 If you are counting The Dixie Chicks as people of "people of consequence" then yes...they disputed the Iraq War. So did Rosie Odonell. And guess what? They were RIGHT! But the greedy politicians and their military war machine manufacturing lobbyists who give them millions? They wanted to use those products so they could sell more to replace them. And now? It's like deja-vu all over again. Only this time...the people of the United States have made it clear to those politicians that they aren't gonna stand for it. So the vote is "no" this time. Also...you said that somebody should be "spanked". That sounds cool. But what "Spanked" really means is: Bombing and killing more Muslims. Plenty of them will be women and children. And ALL of them will create thousands of more people with an intense hatred for the United States and will come back to bite us in the future. This country can not continue to bully and kill people worldwide. I thought that lesson had been learned over the past couple of decades. And it looks like most people did learn that. You, Pres. Obama, John Kerry, and John McCain just haven't had that sink in yet. |
the funny part is i still dominate you in arguments around here dipshit. and that's before i stoop to your level with insults.
so post all the pics you want, it just means your getting your ass handed to you by someone you are trying to portray as being on drugs. :1orglaugh:1orglaugh what clever argument logic. fucking dumbass. Quote:

it should just go down like this. i mean, come on, rather than this way right? at what point in time did the united states ever think these other countries such as turkey, israel, italy, ukraine, saudi arabia, china, russia, india, can't handle their own affairs in their own regions?
all of those countries have militaries even airforces and politicians who should have had the initiative and arguably responsibility, by using their diplomatic skills to throw a hell of a lot of water on this fire. it seems to me whenever we see two politicians meet it is always with an american politician. the united states should let another pair of hands deal with this. |

We are putting our nose into every corner of the globe and calling it "National Defense". It appears to me that the majority of people in this world HATE the United States. We get fed a line of bullshit that it's because of our "freedom" (yeah, we're real "free" with more citizens than any country on Earth incarcerated). But once you start paying attention at how many people around the world whose lives we have ruined...then you start to understand why our country is so hated. It's shameful. And the part that irks me the most is...we, the people get the blame for what our fucked up Govt. is doing. And "we" are so misinformed and under-informed by our media that we don't even realize what's going on. That's why most of us citizens were so shocked at 9-11 We shouldn't have been, the govt. sure wasn't. They KNEW it was coming sooner or later because of their actions. But we citizens had no idea what our govt. is up to. And when someone blows the whistle and tries to tell us...they are sent to prison. I always thought we were the "good guys". Now that I'm older, wiser, and more world traveled...I see that most times we are the "bad guys". |

theking...I would go along with that.
But I don't believe they are acting in the people of the United States true best interests. I think they are working on behalf of their cronies best interests. And they use guys like you and my brother-in-law (currently stationed in Afghanistan) to push people around all over the world. If another nation attacks us? Let's DESTROY them with our military. But we haven't been invaded since the War Of 1812. Attacking and occupying other countries and killing people worldwide isn't a shade of grey in my opinion...it's WRONG. And every time we kill another person in THEIR country, we create enemies of everyone in their family and all their friends. It's exponential growth of enemies, and keeps us here in the U.S having to be searched at airports and in fear all the time. |

I made the choice many years ago not to become an "activist" other than complaining to my congressional representatives...which I have repeatedly done over the years of my life. I do not have any respect for someone that is constantly complaining about the government but does nada to correct what they perceive to be wrong. " |

But talking about it on this forum is one way that I hope to have people think about it for themselves and start researching and not just listen to what we are told. The other thing I did is in 2012: I stopped being a Democrat and registered and voted Libertarian. And "no", I'm not going to be one of those crazy people acting like a jackass in public (an "activist"). That doesn't do anything. As far as "respect", at least I'm saying something on a message board and that's my picture in my avatar and that's my real name. You, on the other hand aren't even doing that much. |

well come on, put in some money to help them, maybe a dedicated thread too.
i can chip in thirty dollars. you can try and donate here by some means! |
Man, I do NOT know what you are on about, Robbie. If you and your wife voted to let an investor invest your money and then the investor embezzled your money, did you vote for the embezzlement?
George W. Bush is the single person who brought war to Iraq. Congress voted to AUTHORIZE HIM to do it if he saw fit, AFTER reviewing all of the available data. He just took that piece of paper and ran straight into Iraq. I'm not even sure why you're debating 10 year old news! Didn't you say you wouldn't go in there EVEN IF you were personally convinced that Assad had gassed his citizens? |

If you're hung up on George Bush that's your problem. Fact is that he was a crooked piece of shit politician and so was/is Congress. He wouldn't have "ran straight into Iraq" without their approval, AND he told them that was the plan and that is exactly what they voted YES on. And HELL YES I would vote a big fucking "NO" about bombing Syria. Don't want you to even wonder if that's true or not. YOU are the one who is bloodthirsty and thinks that killing MORE citizens will somehow "save" them or make it better for the ones who already died there. It's none of our business, it's not legal for us to attack a sovereign nation, and you keep DODGING the fact that us "going in" means bombing and KILLING more civilians in Syria. You keep acting like we are the "parent" of the world and they are our "children". They aren't. And we don't "spank" them...we KILL citizens. How would YOU like it if another country decided to "spank" us for the shit we've done and killed your family with their bombs that are supposed to teach Obama a "lesson"? That's crazy right? But that is EXACTLY what the U.S. Federal Govt. was planning to do in Syria. |
