Over the years I got the impression Squealer was miserable over his inability to accomplish anything more than just being an upload monkey in the industry. Coming in here every few months to rag on someone struggling seemed like a masochistic way of punishing himself for his own lack of forward progress or innovation.

Most of his final posts spent trolling Brassmonkey were like watching a supposedly experienced lifeguard floundering before going under in the deep end of a public pool.

I felt the same. About him being miserable that is. It seemed he had a mission to be hard and bitter on people he felt he could dump on in this forum.

About Paul and him, I have no idea who's story is true and don't really care. But I'm commenting as it's the first time someone has pointed this out about Squealer and it is something that resonated with me.

Perhaps Squealer's absence is indicative of him finally doing something more productive with his free time.

Acknowledging said proof, Paul Markham has continued to clearly demonstrate that he has little recollection as to who Squealer is.
