SONY Cybershot P10 rules in terms of 5 Megapixels that fit in your pocket. It's amazing in low light - focuses with IR.

dpreview is really a good site, but Z4 light sensitivity goes up to ISO 400: http://exilim.casio.com/z4uspec.htm |

I'd say G3... great for a snapshot camera, but... ya never know when you'll wanna take some pro pics with it... and it'll do that too. =)
I'm probably gonna end up getting a new rebel EOS... or D100, but leaning toward the canon |

Anybody have an opinion about the following snapshot cameras:
Optio S4 Optio 555 IXY Digital L Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T1 |
Sony's are nice but I have yet to see quality better than out of a Canon or an Olympus honestly. Unless you're talking a $4000 Kodak. Plus Sony's uses memory stick which is shitty to me compared to the standard compact flash.

I use both Canon and Olympus for studio work, but they are really big, at least the stuff I have is. I'm not too keen on the memory stick feature though, that is a good point. Definite minus on that. I'd prefer compact flash for size, but it seems like a lot of the really little cameras take either smart media or memory stick. And ya can set the Sony to fire the shutter at loud noises. |
