Sleazy, are you saying Ron's squirming? In 9 years in this biz the only time I've EVER seem him squirm is when Cory grabbed his ass. |

Uh.....Defending what he does because it is legal is a pretty far cry from Sad. If someone has proof he is doing something illegal - put up or shut the fuck up. This whole thread looks to me like someone is pissed that Ron has an agressive marketing campaign and they don't. If it is legal - I defend it and even applaud it. The industry exists to seperate surfers from their money, the sooner all you fry cooks realize this, the more money the business people will make. Fuck this all went downhill when too many porn surfers were allowed to build TGP galleries to suppliment the lunch money their mommies gave them every day. |

One could argue that SI just serves ads. What happens to the surfer after the ads are served is not their responsibility. Hence they are not breaking the law.
Liken it to an affiliate sending traffic to a pay site that we know fucks the surfers with cross sells, has a shit members area, rips people off on the upsells from the members area etc. Not saying its right. But is it illegal? |

I wonder if any of you "its ok because its legal" people have ever had the pleasure of trying to clean this scumware off of a machine? I highly doubt it. In fact I bet your probally all infected and don't even know it.

I clean PCS on the side. Most of the machines I see can barely move after being booted because of all the shit out there now. Those people infected are NOT going to be able to sign up for a pay site. |
exactly these infected users are barely able to surf the web, let alone signup for a site.

No offense, but this is getting slightly old.
Business is business. I wish there were no commercials on TV. I hate the personal trainer girl at my gym that always solicits me to buy workouts. Why can't I just go to the bar without leaving with 10 million Heineken keychains. My poor soul..... |

Sorry, man. It just sounds so pathetic to me, the way you always kiss his ass. I will try and not let it bother me anymore. :winkwink: |

When you go to the gym, does your trainer kick you in the balls so you have to limp around at a snails pace for the rest of the day? I can't think of anything for the beer but I hope you get the point.. Spyware cripples peoples computers and costs less savoy computer users a shit load of money getting their computers fixed. I used to do service calls for 3 major ISP's. I'd say at least 80% of the service calls were because of spyware. I wouldn't even want to imagine how much money spyware costs companies like AOL, Road Runner, EarthLink in phone tech support and on site service calls. Not to mention Microsoft and all the computer manufactuors that also have their help lines filled with people trying to fix spyware issues. Anyone that pushes anything remotely close to spyware is scum in my book. I don't care how cool he maybe in person or how much money they have. Scum is Scum. |
