Agree! Money talks - even when you are doing good deeds - like opposing CP. I'm gonna set up two churches, three homes for abused children and support General Gonzales in his fight against evil porn. Did someone offer me commission on a new TLD? Gotta go :-) |

I wonder if Baddog's Home For Wayward Girls and Rehabilitation Clinic can get some of that money. The girls would really appreciate it. |
bump bump

No one in our industry should support .xxx
|
dont agree with .xxx and sounds like asacp needs to get some idea of their workings in order

Did you send an email to Joichi Ito, baddog?

Knock Knock
Who's there? Bump! |
you know what - i've been thinking a LOT about this and here's my opinion.
I don't like .xxx I don't like seeing the asacp publically support .xxx reality is - i don't have the right to tell any organization other then my own house what to do - but with an organization like the asacp i do have the right to express my opinions and as a small sponser of them i would hope at least that they would at a min listen if only for a second as to what I have to say. i don't see the asacp accepting money from .xxx in any way form or fashion as influeincing what they do or how they do it. the asacp does in fact review those people who they accept money from, ensuring that they follow guidelines acceptable to the asacp and I'm wondering how it could be humaninaly possible for them to accept money from .xxx when it's open for almost any to buy a .xxx url and put anything they want up on it. there is no controll to my knowledge as to what goes on a .xxx url. would it be possible for a person to buy a .xxx url and have content on it - like say a 17 year old having sex in a region of the world where it's legal to have that content? would the asacp support that? what about non-nude stuff? i'm left with the feeling that the .xxx url leaves the asacp susceptable to being sceen as supporting content that they screen all their other clients for and deny membership based on. |

So, Sleazy, the word is that ASACP is polling their sponsors to get their input on this issue. Can you confirm whether or not the advisory council has contacted you? |
Quote:
No . . . I have been too busy to construct an intelligent email lately |

Feel free to forward it to me, and I will translate it to Canadian for you if you like. |
or . . . . you could always post it here ;)

I don't think personally accepting money from .xxx will change their mission - i'm only curious as to how by their standards that they accept other people they could accept a company that would allow anyone to upload anything to their url. |
Is there still no word from the advisory cancel or Joan?

I am not sure |
No support for .XXX here.

As you're aware many companies are dealing with 2257 issues right now and will hopefully respond to the message to sponsors soon. Until more of them do, a final decision/ action on this will not be made. |
Aly - You should be a comedian.
I love you but what the mother fuck are you doing? I know for a fact the "Original" Aly I met would be flipping out about this event and easily be opposed to it and its bias. I hope the pay is good. |

LOL... THANKS! I AM OPPOSED TO .XXX . I have expressed that in many different terms many times in many forums but I do NOT control ASACP (nor do they pay me). I am ONE VOTE and ONE VOICE at ASACP and trust me, they all hear that voice a LOT. I am trying very hard to very objectively let the rest of you know why you haven't heard anything about this yet, without betraying the confidence of ASACPs sponsors and advisors, or breaking the obligations of my NDA. DON'T CALL ME A PUSSY YOU BASTARD! :winkwink: |

One-on-One Interview, Part Two: Stuart Lawley, chairman and president, ICM Registry By: MJ McMahon Posted: 2:00 pm PDT 6-22-2005 TORONTO - In the second part of our interview with Stuart Lawley, president and chairman of ICM Registry, Lawley goes on the record about various rumors regarding who has supported ICM's application for an . xxx sponsored Top-Level Domain (sTLD). "AVNOnline.com: xBiz reported that ASACP will be a direct beneficiary of IFFOR. Hendeles has stated this is undecided. Which is it? Stuart Lawley: This was a misquote. Clearly the ASACP has goals and a membership complement that fulfills the charter of IFFOR. We have proposed to work closely with the ASACP to establish them as our [child porn] hotline for the .xxx registry. ASACP has been in negotiations with ICM for ASACP to serve as a hotline for reviewing reports of suspected child pornography and perhaps to carry out the secondary monitoring of .xxx sites for child pornography. No formal deal or promises of funding have been made with ASACP, however, it would seem blindingly obvious and completely appropriate that ASACP would be seen as a likely recipient of grant funding to be issued by IFFOR's grant advisory committee. Those parties selected by the community to represent IFFOR's grant advisory committee will be responsible for making this decision, not ICM Registry." http://www.avnonline.com/index.php?P...tent_ID=231419 |
so, whatever happened about this?
