TORONTO - ICM Registry has pursued the .xxx sponsored Top-Level Domain (sTLD) since 2000. The company?s first application to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) was not approved, and ICM subsequently began a more aggressive campaign in 2003.

trademark protection is automatic on first use, you do not have to register a trademark a copyright or a service mark to have protection

you DO have to register it in order to get punitive damages

ICMRegistry is but I abunch of whores...I suggest joining the fight to have the .XXX charter revoked...it can still be done....

"I think the executive director is going to be a Washington, D.C., lobbyist type. It probably won?t be somebody from the adult industry."

Gee.. what will you be lobbying for - to make it mandatory for all US webmasters to go to .XXX so they can collect $60/yr every year.

Some possibly socially conservative lobbyist from DC might eventually be in charge of the access to every adult website on the internet?

Why wouldn't free speech supporters want that?

maybe its me but I dont see room for alot of industry people there, when this is supposed to be a group with the industries interests at heart. I think they have no idea of what a mess this going to be.

they replied to me 2 weeks ago with the same statement they used in this interview ( I asked about the registration process, moving from .com to .xxx, trademark stuff etc )

( actually Jason didnt reply, but Stuart did, after i resent my questions )

but how can i like and support them if they are a big danger to this industry or to me directly? ( because I own some premium .com adult names )
