I am exhausted after reading a full day of the internet

Quotealex 12-28-2005 02:36 PM

I read two newspapers per day, one fiction book a week and a few non-fiction books per month. I hate reading anything over 1,000 words online, I guess I'm still old school.

That can be fixed, i did it in the past and will do now again..

Start filtering those sites that while entertaining are nothing but procastinating-heavens (risk GFY of that list if you use it for business in any way or shape :winkwink: )

seeric 12-30-2005 10:50 AM

true on all points. i will put down the internet for at least 2 hours a day and grab a hard copy book and sit quietly.

great for the brain.

I ordered some books off of Amazon last month. The one I am on right now is "the Zen of Organizing". Yup. It is one of my New Years resolutions.

Fuck yeah I'm reading - not seeing any TV at all since I believe that just makes you dumb and more or less drags a reality down on you/feeds you prejudices + I'm not interested in wars/disasters of nature/people giving their house a makeover and all that other superficial shit they feed the masses.

Right now I'm reading The Castle by Kafka and it's pretty good imo. Kafka can be pretty weird but this novel is easy to read and the universe he creates in it is just amazing!
