Could you go ahead and point ot where anyone is starting over 400K on this list? Even the highly specialized positions are coming in under 400K. As far as I understand it, you don't come out of Med School and start as a brain surgeon, for instance, without further training.

Not that I believe him at all, but just going off the chart

Orthopedic Surgery - Joint Replacement
Starting is $407,037 :winkwink:

jk, heh

In the early eighties I knew a guy that worked over 16 hours a day at two different restaurants putting his wife through medical school. She dumped him for a doctor two years after she graduated.

She hasn't even started working in joint replacement and is going to be done in 2 years? Come on man, those guys in joint replacement spend years in regular orthopedic surgery before moving on. It's very specialized and only a few schools in this country even offer it. It also takes much more than 2 years.

No, she''ll officially be a doctor in 2 more years. she's been going for 4 years now. had 4 years of college before that. Probably has abother 2-4 years on top of that afterward depending on what she finally decides to do. she played b-ball for a d2 school here and had 2 acl surgeries which i think started her interest.

What is she learning right now? You said she is in her residency, but she hasn't decided for what? Usually you pick what you want to study and start your residency then. It's a 5 year program, so at best, she'll be out of her residency in 5 years in orthopedic surgery. You won't be able to find one that is less than 5 years in the field.

Usually you know for sure in your 4th year, so she's deciding very soon. Not such an easy choice to make.

and I keep getting residency and rotations mixed up. residency comes after rotations. she's doing rotations right now, changes every month.

So basically what you are saying is that your wife will not cheat on you because you are large and are going to have her followed by a private investigator?

Sounds like you have an amazing relationship with your wife. Thankfully though, if she does make it through to be a doctor, she will be able to support herself once she dumps your ass.

Relationships are about trust, not about fear. Keep that in mind

You don't even know what residency is. First you say she isn't a doctor, then you say she is a resident. Which is it? Residents ARE doctors. They have earned their MD. So to say she'll be a doctor in 2 years but is in her residency is wrong.

Second, residency is for those who are specializing in something and have already earned their MD. You don't pick what you are going to study in your 3rd year, you do it right away. If you are going into a specialty like joint replacement, it can take you up to 7 years to complete your residency. It's not something you choose and take 2 years worth of stuff.

Seriously man, if you're going to make shit up, atleast research it. You have contradicted yourself so many times it's not even worth continuing. Just say you have no clue what she is learning but she plans on being a orthopedic surgeon someday.

She is a doctor. You said she was in her residency. If she is in her residency, she has her medical degree. How do you not even know your wife is a doctor?

like I said, I meant rotaions, not residency. you get paid during your residency and you are at 1 place. her rotations, which she is in now, rotates each month, at a different hospital, doing a different practice. This month is pediatrics. next month is OB I think.

So she hasn't started her residency? If that's the case, she's atleast 5 years away from practicing orthopedic surgery. 5 years is basically the minimum in that field.

yup, at 40+k per year.. I was thinking she had 4 years left. It will be more than worth it though.

She's paying her own loans though, no way I am :winkwink:

So now its "I thought she had 4 years left of $40k a year"?

What happened to "in 2 years she'll be making $400 k yearly!"?

I guess I'd have to be. I don't have a wife that is a doctor, no wait, will be in two years, no wait four years, who makes $400k/year, no wait, will make that, no wait, maybe less depending on the field, no wait $40k, no wait, nothing, she isn't a real doctor.

Good luck with your penis pills, no wait, see your sig, no wait, you hate people who sell porn, no wait, you're on GFY, no wait, no wait, no wait.

ForteCash 12-03-2006 05:35 PM

she'll be an official "doctor in 2 years". her starting salary will be 400k.

:thumbsup

Time to start compiling all of it, so we can have ONE place to look to laugh.

Anyone want to make the "post your favorite ForteCash posts" thread?

We'll make it into a single collection .. one "master" list.
