Makes sense - perhaps we'll shuffle the banners somewhat...or possibly custom design a few a see if that shakes things up a little. But its primarily the ratios that have me a bit baffled at the moment, too.

Your getting confusing again. If it is affiliate programs you are promoting then most of what he said does not apply. It would only apply if you wanted to drop people from promoting your own program.

PS 51 confused responses, posts, and everything else.

Its been a confusing weekend, lol.

I re-read what AlienQ wrote and realized I'd even mistaken what he was saying, heh. Too late to edit my reply to it.

Must be the prescription meds I'm taking for this flu :1orglaugh

Its amazing how some people don't know the difference between "sponsors" and "affiliates". My pet peeve is people calling "sponsors" "affiliates"... It is really bugs the shit out of me

bausch 11-09-2008 01:55 AM

Programs are not affiliates. YOU are the affiliate. Programs are called "sponsors" or "affiliate programs" but you YOURSELF are the affiliate. I feel very itchy and irritated and annoyed when people call sponsors "Affiliates". It makes me want to kick or break something.

Ok to clear it (from what I interpreted at least) They are thinking of stopping sending traffic to ccbill based affiliate programs, not dropping affiliates from their own program. :2 cents:

I took a look at your site cause I promote that niche but after seeing all the traffic leaks to kink.com on your tour I'll be happy not to be an affiliate :)

So perhaps its time to 'clean house' a little and drop those that are lagging.

Anyone else experiencing similiar poor performance from their CCBill accounts lately? Or any unexplainable discrepancies in traffic vs. conversion ratios?

If you are thinking of adding new "sponsors" Give us a shot, www.rhinopays.com/ccbill

PS. I have not seen the number of declines via ccbill go up (via email notices). So I am not thinking they are scrubbing more.

Have you tried calculating form fills - (sales + declines)?

I'm sorry you have nothing better to do these days. Like I've said before, after 6 years you are the only one who cares. I've hung here for years and am not going anywhere.

Cheers.

Do you have replacements for them you are sure will bring in more? If XXX program is not bringing in as much as it was, it could be a sign of the times. Test other programs to see if the ratio's go up, it certainly wouldn't hurt.

That's likely what we'll do.

See how it goes.
