All you need to do is search gfy and you will see over several hours of natnet downtime in just the past few months. do a search mate. Not only nat net but gfy is a good place to start research on any host for downtime or bad support or anyother info you might want to find.:2 cents::2 cents:

you've already been owned more than once with your ramblings in this thread. now you come back with one single thread from almost a year ago to prove your earlier comment of *several hours of downtime in just the past few months*

this only adds self-ownage.:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

again, take your own advice and let it rest.

ok.. i'm finished packet storming now... you may all carry on... all is well...

dyna moe I happen to be a fan of natnet and respect them and think they are one of the good hosts,:thumbsup however you are wrong, they have had there share of downtimes in the past 6 months not just the 1 thread mentioned above but a few others, I think it was you who got owned.:2 cents:

so you are discounting my experience with them over many years? you're discounting Bill's comment too? did you do a search yourself? because you won't find more than 2 threads about this over the last several months.

either way i couldn't care less. i KNOW from experience what the service is like.

Actually, this is exactly what Bill mentioned here:

The second issue was a firewall issue that took down part of our network for almost 8 hours due to the fact that we had to touch EVERY server to remove the firewall rules.

I checked but it works fine.

We work very hard at giving our customers the best possible hosting and support that there is. We have a culture here of taking care of the customer at any and all cost, and any customer of ours will tell you that we treat customers as partners...but at the end of the day, we still have humans working here that can make mistakes. We have hardware that can fail (yes - even redundancy can fail. You can read at least once a month about a data center that lost power because the redundant generators didn't come up or some software designed to run the redundant hardware failed).

Every host at one time or another is going to have downtime. In fact, the ONLY way to guarantee full 100% uptime is by having duplicated hardware at either two geographically different data centers or duplicated hardware in a tier 4 data center, (of course, very few customers are willing to pay for either one of those solutions) and even then there are no guarantees that there won't be a DDOS attack or a network issue to take you down. Those hosts that did not have any downtime this year either may have had some last year or will have some next year. You rarely see hosts bashing other hosts about downtime because they know darned well it could have been them. It's just a matter of time. The difference is that the GOOD hosts don't hide from it, provide full disclosure and do whatever it takes to make sure that whatever caused it cannot happen again.

Of course, we seem to have our fair share of haters and I find it interesting that it always seems to be the same people and that these same people do not seem to be in threads about other "certain" hosts going down. I wonder why that is?

Very well said man.
