Anyone else's ccbill sales drying up?

We all know the market is saturated, but has anyone else seen a major decline in the past month? Like just a complete dropoff in sales?

I have been getting sales on a regular basis and for some reason a little over a month ago, nothing but expirations and more then usual declines.

My traffic is the same as it has always been and I still maintain all my affiliates that have always produced sales on a regular basis.

Anyone else?

astronaut x 03-22-2012 03:23 AM

CCbill has been the most trusted and reliable 3rd party biller it seems like forever, and I have been EXTREMELY happy with the service they have provided me over the years. I have always been able to contact support and everyone has been completely professional and helpful.

However it just seems completely odd that sales would drop off like they have in one day.

I certainly do not see much of an alternative at the moment.

I gave it plenty of time to see if it was just a slow month but nothing has changed.

I'm certainly not accusing them of cutting sites off that don't reach a certain sales quota, but could this be what is quietly going on? I just renewed my visa few months ago.

Am i being pushed out of business?

anexsia 03-22-2012 03:36 AM

That's why my ratios are so bad this month, CCBill. It's just how it is though, some months really suck and some months are really good. Here's to hoping our sales improve in April.

My new sales have completely disappeared though.

What am i supposed to pay my hosting bill with? Pay my bills? Put food on the table?

I have zero faith in other third party billing companies. CCbill has been a rock. What is happening?

bns666 03-22-2012 04:29 AM

this month is a complete disaster.

sojproductions 03-22-2012 04:39 AM

they have dropped of, traffic to our join pages is up, form hits way down, there is a breakdown at the moment, no matter who i speak to we can't pinpoint the problem. Sales just suck right now, the cascade to epoch is doing good though which to me highlights the issue even further. I also have been a fan of ccbill and been with them for years but we cant survive with the current sales, something has to change.

It's not CCbill, it's you. I'm gonna do a record month with a ccbill site. Sales are better than ever.

MrDeiz 03-22-2012 04:51 AM

got a few refunds for $100+ this month 1 void and very slow sales. yesterday 03/21 is 2 sales and a refund, so i've ended the day with -$2.47 in total.

some day it's bigger than normal, but some are way lower. the whole situation is like waves. and frequent refunds lately is no cool at all

Interesting feedback fine sire.

biskoppen 03-22-2012 05:24 AM

My CCBILL sales has been "ok" lately, but the last 3 days. including today, I'm looking at 30-40% of normal sales.. out of the fucking blue.

Freaky_Akula 03-22-2012 05:39 AM

I no longer promote CCBill programs.

cherrylula 03-22-2012 05:46 AM

It isn't ccbill, it's the market changing.

I don't want to offend anyone but webmasters don't exactly have marketing and economy degrees. The info you are missing is there.

ccbill is solid for what it is... if you want better conversions try mainstream. :2cents

I have a marketing degree. Does that mean you'll believe me when I tell you that you're an idiot? Let me know and I'll make it happen.

Edit: Forgot to mention that I also have a minor in Finance. Tell me when you're ready for me to call you an idiot.

You should charge back your education, because it obviously didn't teach you how to have an intelligent discussion. :2 cents:

Please. Teach me how to have an intelligent conversation, CherryLula. :thumbsup

First you told me that I didn't have a marketing degree to which I responded that I do indeed have a marketing degree. With a minor in finance. Where did I fuck it up? The intelligence part. I'm curious. Tell me, CherryLula, tell me!

With some sponsor, my ratio is 1/5000 and a year LATER, it is 1/1000.
The problem is different...

There's no such thing as a market saturation. Such a term should be removed from the vocabulary. There's probably 100,000 brands of beer on the market. More every year, not less. Just give it some good thought and you'll agree. Sure, it's a widely used excuse for poor sales, but that's all it is.

Maybe there's some technical thing, I wouldn't know. I do know that we're on our 8th straight day of record breaking high temperatures like most of the US. Over 30 degree's warmer than usual. Usually people would be indoors and occasionally shovelling snow this time of year. There's a lot of people with credit cards in the north eastern US too. They're all out playing in the sun.

V_RocKs 03-22-2012 09:35 AM

Mine grew this month and last month too.

You should set up a live chart that tracks your referral income. Set it up like CNBC and also have top ten gainers, top ten losers, highest volume, etc. It likely doesn't include many of the big money affiliates who have been around for awhile, but would still be a useful indicator. Kind of like the Russell 2000. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russell_2000_Index

I agree for the most part but you have to consider how incestuous typical adult traffic can be with all the traffic trades, link exchanges, gallery submissions, and tube submits as well as the sheer amount of traffic being bought and sold several times over on a daily basis. The same thing even holds true for search traffic unless you have every spot on page one. With that being said, it does seem as if most are too quick to blame saturation, but it's still a factor nonetheless.

Are you using ccbill user management for members access?
If so, go into your cgi-bin folder and find your active htpasswd file. Make sure it is set to 666.

Tom_PM 03-22-2012 10:33 AM

If you're talking about a particular search term being full of competition as saturation, then yep.

Like in the old days when everyone would get the same content from the same provider and promote the same paysite from the same sponsor on the same link lists in the same categories. Self inflicted saturation.

Today everyone runs the same penis enlargment and fuck buddy ads on the same networks on the same tubes in the same positions. Oh why are sales drying up??

Just saying, looking closer to home before looking elsewhere can be useful.

Internet sales across the board are going to be lower. Higher gas prices and the warmest spring in history are the reason.

Market changes don't happen in two weeks. Gas prices have an immediate impact on the economy, it effects how much money people have TODAY, not down the road. Also the warm weather. In most parts of the country, weather this warm this early is totally unheard of and everybody is outside. Every night I hear people hanging out in their backyards, the outdoor restaurants are filled up, etc.

That sounds smart to me! There could be some technical issue or just natural cycle reason. People always seem to come and go in quantity so it could just turn right back around. Good luck in any case on good recovery.
