LA is pretty awesome
 

I've been in LA for one week now. Love it. Love the people, love the prices, love the weather, love the big ass car the rental company set me up with. If my gf had her way we'd live here.

Only thing that sucks so far is the traffic. Also I was expecting every lifeguard to look like Pamela and all the chicks to have big fake tits and lips.

Things are so cheap I have had to buy an extra big ass suitcase just to bring stuff back home after 8 hours of shopping yesterday :1orglaugh

Now we are off to the beach to work on our lobster look. Oh also have not witnessed or experienced any police brutality yet, in fact cops here says hi and are friendly - more than I'm used to where I come from :pimp

Last time I was there, a few years back, thee were literally pan handlers everywhere.

I ignore them.. did meet one in the public restroom in Malibu, ignored him too. Told a security dude that was right outside the restroom there was a bum in there and he thought I said bomb.. heh :Oh crap

LA is fun. I don't know about cheap, but it's fun.

I loved LA when I was there a couple years back.

A lot of east coast people seem to hate it --- but I'm an east coaster, and i think it's heaven on earth. I wonder why I'm not living there, actually.

Lived in LA for 12 years... loved it about 1/2 the time. WAY glad to be outta there.

Yea traffic blows my mind, pretty crazy! I do love the carpool lanes and in general, the rules. Makes things flow much better than they do back home where you can only overtake on the highway in a left lane.

LA is great to visit.. Once you actually move there and live there for over 3 months it starts to wear on your soul and become a total shit hole.. I lived for almost 2 years in that cesspool, it almost ate me alive..

Fun to visit though.. I miss the food the most.. 1000's of options on any given night.. Second I miss my good friends that are there.. Especially Nader and Bako

To Europeans, anywhere in the US is cheap especially if you are buying designer clothes or accessories. Good food isn't much cheaper in monetary terms but in quality terms it is. A good steak in my country would be $40, a great steak in the US is $45.

Small things but together it makes a huge difference.

LA is awesome. Don't believe the hype.

There's areas in LA that are awesome to visit. Great climate, scenery and tons to do. Food prices are reasonable, incredible selection for just about anything you want. Electronics are cheaper than anywhere I've seen in the world (this goes for all of the USA). And with the high turn over of goods in LA there's so many deals for used/vintage/designer stuff.
