CNN is being paid by governments to put out certain stories, and not cover other ones....
WHAT A SHOCKER!!:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:helpme
.http://investmentwatchblog.com/cnn-e...70pe0HTPo7M.99 "CNN Exposed ? Emmy Winning Former CNN Journalist Blows The Whistle: CNN is paid by foreign and domestic Government agencies. August 26th, 2013 71 25 2 0 127 Let that sink in. Additionally CNN and CNN International are also paid by foreign governments to avoid stories that are damaging, and construct narratives that show them in a better, albeit false, light. Amber Lyon is a three-time Emmy winning investigative journalist and photographer. She accuses CNN of being ?fake news.? Back in March 2011, CNN sent a four person team to Bahrain to cover the Arab Spring. Once there, the crew was the subject of extreme intimidation amongst other things, but they were able to record some fantastic footage. As Glenn Greenwald of the UK?s Guardian writes in his blockbuster article from September 4th 2012: ?In the segment, Lyon interviewed activists as they explicitly described their torture at the hands of government forces, while family members recounted their relatives? abrupt disappearances. She spoke with government officials justifying the imprisonment of activists. And the segment featured harrowing video footage of regime forces shooting unarmed demonstrators, along with the mass arrests of peaceful protesters. In sum, the early 2011 CNN segment on Bahrain presented one of the starkest reports to date of the brutal repression embraced by the US-backed regime. Despite these accolades, and despite the dangers their own journalists and their sources endured to produce it, CNN International (CNNi) never broadcast the documentary. Even in the face of numerous inquiries and complaints from their own employees inside CNN, it continued to refuse to broadcast the program or even provide any explanation for the decision. To date, this documentary has never aired on CNNi. Having just returned from Bahrain, Lyon says she ?saw first-hand that these regime claims were lies, and I couldn?t believe CNN was making me put what I knew to be government lies into my reporting.? Here is a segment of the Bahrain report that Amber Lyon and her team put together. CNNi refused to allow it to air because the Bahrain Government had paid them not to show it." I'm sure that it won't get much coverage, since every single news agency on the planet is also probably guilty of similar activity..... .:upsidedow . |

On Fox news one of the things they are always saying is that the other networks are not covering this story, WHY? Well this is a little proof as to why I guess! |
Pretty sure the only people who watch CNN are....
1. people who have delayed flight 2. Fox new viewers who hold CNN up as the symbol of main stream media to perpetuate the narrative of a "liberal" media bias. Basically CNN has to sell stories otherwise they would be broke. |
good that Al Jazeera USA launched...

Just read through some of the articles on that site, and you'll know what kind of paranoid "patriot" conservative it caters to. Fox News has 100 times more credibility than that site. Even if it might be true, how could you believe it coming from that shitstain of a news agency?

It's not that I like what they're saying, as much as I like the way they lay out their points. Fox news sounds like they have no compassion and they're bigoted morons. The country is trying to be more progressive, and they want shit to stay the same. Just the idea of being anti "progressive" is enough to make any sane person not subscribe to their views. It's a channel for old people and/or racists. |

I believe that most people want change, I'm all for getting universal health care, but done right, not what Obamacare is going to do. I think it was pushed thru at all cost without reading it, that's not right. Even the unions that help get it passed are against it now! You say the country is trying to be more progressive? That's not entirely true, I think a lot of people want to see a responsible government as laid out in the constitution. Not a government that spies on it's citizens, bullies conservative groups thru the IRS and prints up 85 billion dollars a month to keep the stock market happy. |
I noticed that the news was manipulated ever since I was a teen, that's why I rarely watch it...the last time I turned on the TV to watch the news was Sep 11..

O'Reilly is a nutjob playing in the same league as Alex Jones

In states where Obamacare has been embraced they are seeing health care costs fall. The fact that you STILL see people proclaiming it as the devil is all the proof you need that the news is bought and paid for.

They beat the Trayvon case to death but already stopped mentioning the black on white hate crimes from last week. :disgust

At some point in time the standard of proof has been reduced to a single accusation and a news article completely devoid of facts.
I'm not saying this didn't happen or isn't happening, but this article states (a) that a documententry was made and that (b) CNN failed to air it - but then draws an imaginary connection between CNN and the US government, claiming the US government paid CNN not to air the article. No one in the government is named by this article, no department was named, no dates, no amounts, etc... Who paid who how much to do what? But then the article says at the very end "CNN refused to allow it to air because the Bahrain Government had paid them not to show it." So which is it? Was it the US government, the Bahrain government, and once we figure out which country, shouldn't have some names of who did what and how much money traded hands? Don't get me wrong... I don't know much about Bahrain and I wouldn't be surprised if they did in fact pay off people at CNN not to air something, but we need a little proof dont' we? |

obviously cnn corp has an obligation to the bottomline, that's the law, so sure they produce news *stories* to make money, but the op article just lists 1 ~13 minute segment not being aired as proof of some sort of conspiracy between cnn and foreign states, while i wouldn't be surprised, i don't think that's enough proofs.
cnn can choose wtfever docs they want to show or not, i'd wager they get presented with maybe 100 docs a day for possible broadcasting, besides isn't most of cnn airtime comprised of talking heads? that's not news, that's opinions on the news, cnn must make a shitton of money broadcasting more opinions of news than actual news, just based on which of those takes up more airtime. + i'd be interested in seeing the accounting ledger for taking cash from foreign states for not showing docs, that's gotta be clever accounting! |

he's rude, no manners, he screams at people and accepts only people that share his opinion, otherwise he simply forbids them to speak i don't know what he is supposed to be but he's not a journalist i cannot take someone even remotely serious that behaves that way on screen i am not saying everything is gold over here but none of our news stations is even the slighest bit as biased as Fox (or MSNBC) Watching Fox is like having a screwdriver being inserted slowly into your peehole |

And I am positive that our government, from time to time, calls up a news agency and says "hey, can you not publish this" and the news agency decides it's in their best interests not put publish it - maybe they don't want to loose their reporter's slot at the White House or Pentagon. "You scratch our back, we'll scratch your back". But not publishing news because money traded hands is just freaking wrong. |
the news stopped being the news a long time ago
