mark prince worries about the US while armed gunmen run amok in Canada
weird isn't ....as much as our northern brohams cry about guns in the good old USA not one fucking mention of the terrorist running around shooting people in public in the great white north ...just sayin'...you know? :2 cents:

Well, as Canada's National Spokesperson Alanis Morrisette says:
"Isn't it ironic? Don't ya think?" |

did you see the gun he had? an old .30-30 lever-action winchester rifle he stole from his aunts place.

The media says that "assault rifles" are the real problem. (of course stats always have shown that small handguns/pistols like the .38 are the weapon of choice in a homicide...but let's don't let facts get in the way) |

Ottawa is a city filled with crime, guns and shootings.
Hell the combined total of homicides in 2012,2013, & 2014 was 24. *Not all involving guns* Ottawa population of 1 million. Or a homicide rate of 0.8 per 100,000 people. Making it about as scary as a place somewhere between Plano Texas and Lincoin Nebraska. Plano Texas and Lincoin Nebraska being the 2 safest cities with a population over 250k in the USA... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_..._by_crime_rate |
There was a big thread with plenty of canadians posting in it the day it happened.
|
All I hear when I hear someone is from Canada is Doug and Bob Mckenzie from The Great White North.
And Rush. |

So what you are saying is if he had been here in America he would have been better armed and have a bigger body count! Fuckin kids here in America are better armed than that dude!
And yeah it can happen anywhere, but seems to happen more here. But I guess anything you can find to point and say tougher gun laws aren't the answer |

And I find it weird that small handguns are no longer the "target" (pun intended) of anti-gun folks.
Hell, when I was a teenager "Saturday Night Special" (an anti-gun song by Lynyrd Skynyrd about .38 "special" handguns) was a big song on the radio. For decades it was all about banning handguns. As the song says: "Handguns were made for killing, ain't no good for nothing else". Now, it's suddenly about so-called "assault rifles". My feeling is that true criminals never use "assault rifles". You can't exactly sneak around with one very well. No, they use easily concealed handguns. Now a crazy person going on some insane killing spree? They will find a way to kill as many people as humanly possible. And they don't give a fuck about the "law". Anyway, it just seems that all this talk of assault rifles and "gun control" is definitely aimed (pun intended) at the wrong weapons. Big shootings are big stories on the news for ratings. But they are statistically very rare. Handguns killing people? That is by far the vast majority of homicide by gun. It's not even close when you compare it with any other type of gun. People seemed to know that in the 1970's and 1980's. These days, the media decides what you people believe at any given moment. Even though you have google at your fingertips to find the truth of the matter. EDIT: For the record, I own ONE gun. A shotgun. I use birdshot shells. If anyone ever breaks in my house and I shoot them with it...they will wish they were dead because they will be filled with hundreds of tiny bb's. |

You don't know me that well. Mass shootings are a terrible thing no matter where they happen. What confuses me is the difference in the response to these horrible crimes between the 2 countries. In the US, the general response to a mass shooting is the "more guns" idea, pitched by the NRA (and Wayne Lapierre, not George Bush). It happens very often. Yes there are lots of responsible gun owners and the 2nd amendment protects peoples right to own them and thats fine. The "More guns" argument though is what perplexes me, and is usually the thing I sound off about. |

I've kinda forgotten what it is that Mark Prince even does in this industry.
He's branded himself as the Canadian guy who is an honorary member of the Democrat Party in the U.S. Not sure if that is the branding that he may have wanted on an Adult Industry board. But that seems to be how people identify him these days. Maybe time to start posting about business instead of politics? |

Unfortunately you're right. I really do enjoy the political threads on GFY. They are fun, interesting, and, well, passionate. Arguing politics on the other hand is virtually impossible. Most people I think will just believe whatever they want, no matter what. Getting bent out of shape to try to change people's minds is a waste of time. Peace. |
gotta hand it to **********, he gives us lots of material to poke fun at.

you are aware that the whackjob who murdered the people in the Colorado movie theater picked a theater that DID NOT allow carry permits? even though the creepo had to drive to the other side of town from his place, because the other theaters allowed concealed weapons... that pretty much shows you how it works |

Its all about Spin township the huddled masses into a scared frenzied support group. Which instills more fear and os scarier? A robber coming to you house with... Assault rifle? hand gun |

The targets are small. That guy is more dangerous with that lever action rifle that most people with little training with a so called assault weapon need more proof? |

you guys love to pick out an example or two and apply it to every situation. America has a gun problem, so hey, lets just add more guns, that'll fix it! That's like the fire department showing up to your blazing house and tossing gasoline on it. |

anyone who is for banning guns in Merica needs only to look to the Prohibition to see what would happen if USA banned guns.
when we banned liquor we CREATED 2 things: 1. organized crime 2. Income tax not to mention it didn't work AT ALL and instantly made every neighbor a spy. |

And taking guns away from people that follow the law is not going to change things, it will make it worse. Because the guy that shot up parliament didn't follow gun laws! The most powerful weapon is the one you know how to shoot properly, not the one that spits out the most bullets! Full Auto mode has been proven to waste bullets |
