If these are French special forces, god help them in future or any kind of conflict. Bunch of unorganized people,without shock bombs, shooting on everything, eternity while door is opening,one running inside while others are hiding.......now I am starting to understand why terrorists managed to run away at the day of attack.

Don't think it's funny. The situation in Moscow was very different. It's like to compare a cockroach with an elephant. And one more thing. Nobody was killed during that operation in Moscow. There was not enough medical personal to recover people from a sleep (they simple choked on their own tongues). This is a barely mistake of special forces. This is a mistake of Moscow government.

How do you know that guy was dead but not just lying unconscious? As far as I understand, nobody will know now if they were killed before or during the police random shooting.

If we are talking about the same event, the special forces in Russia back then did their job PERFECTLY (unlike what we see here), but nobody (or at least not the standing by medical personal?) was prepared for the post-attack mayhem and this is what lead to the 100+ deaths.

that was a textbook assault. there wasn't any finesse planned. look at the video again. the entire plan was to open that door and brute force bum rush inside with overwhelming #s and kill the terrorists and that's what they did.

Yes. It was a very serious fault of the Moscow government, and I have no idea why nobody was sued for that. The gas did not kill anybody. It just lulled them. The only thing they need to stay alive is a proper treatment... at least to not be put on the back to prevent a tongue chocking, but our medics have fucked it up. After that it was said there was not enough of personal, but who is responsible for that? The answer is Moscow government is, but not the special forces - those are killers but not doctors.

A very stupid tactic. How can you kill a terrorist, staining behind a hostage and using him/her as a live shield? The French special forces acted like idiots on that video. These are not professionals.

I totally disagree. the terrorists already killed 12 by hand + 3 of the innocent people in that grocery store.

there really isn't any option at that point. can't negotiate with that. can't wait it out, cut the electricity etc.

so the only strategy was brute force. After that, the fog of war clouds the event. The fact is those guys ARE professionals and they successfully completed the mission.

He's the guy who hid customers in a walk in freezer downstairs and went back up. The two terrorists burst into the market and opened fire killing the four that's when he took the people downstair. There is also another employee at the market who managed to escape through an emergency exit and briefed the police. You can go all conspiracy theory on us, we'll never know for sure but that guy on the floor looks pretty dead to me :2 cents:

I didn't say it is. Perhaps the Israeli special forces are the best ones in the World. But I always compare. Especially because we have North en Caucasian region where such operations are a usual routine. So I know how the pro's really act.

Check out the video above. That's just an exercises of police specnaz. Look at the time the slide there: 0:00 - 0:05 the specnaz guys after training and the rest of that video is how slow and unprofessional the same guys there just a year before the training (yeah, just like the French special forces):

comparing a training exercise to a real event is apples and oranges.

At the other siege you can see them walking on the roof, take their time and use special forces gear to find the best strategy.

Inside Paris though the walls of these old buildings are half a meter thick, once the shutters are down, apart from intel on the hostage takers exact location (which apparently they had) not much you can do.

They are not "Elite" (Elite is in the army), they are just special police forces. As about your second question, the answer is: as usually (usually means as fast as you can't even see what happened).
