It's not really just conservatives vs liberals. There are also liberal conservatives and conservative liberals.

Locally, we do have some religious conservatives (the worst case of all imo) who are anti porn, though currently their main agenda is abortion laws. In the past they wanted to implement some light censorship of nudity but it didn't pass.

We also have conservative liberals (right wing) who protect personal freedom and who would oppose any form of censorship or prohibition of abortions but there are also countries with these left wing liberal parties that are always fighting for social justice.

It depend on technical solution made to do this. For example, if they would have system like "e-citizen", which would exists in form of desktop/mobile app, and which could be easily installed, then there wouldn't be any problem. You have missed a key points:

1) Every 12 year old knows how to circumvent anything parents have installed and hide his/hers browsing history.

2) Genie is out for 25 years and NOBODY can put it back.

3) Some "sex education" via porn keeps them away from jihadi, antifa,neo nazi, NRA and other " legit" propaganda

The genie IS out of the bottle when it comes to technology in general. There is a hack for everything now and people are smart enough to use Google to find these sources of info. NOTHING can 100% prevent ANYTHING, in life or especially on the Internet.

Having said all that I, as a paysite owner and content creator who started in 2008 or so long after 'the good times', I would welcome an effective age verification solution. Sales would not return to pre-2010 levels but they would most certainly go up. The big tubes could also survive having all implemented a paid section.

Speaking of which: tubes should also implement one-click upsells to the paysites who provide the free content for these paid sections so a Member can more easily join the contributing paysite. Just a thought. :)
