Why do Americans hate Canadians so much ..??????

I don't hate canadians i'll make fun of them and as I make fun of myself and other americans if the joke calls for it but I only hate those who are a threat to my family...

because Americans hate everyone, duhh!

I think puke and die is a bit over the top, but it does make you laugh sometimes at the level of posts.

It is the other way around.

When my girlfriend who is canadian meets ppl here in the US, and they find out, they talk about how beautiful it is up there.

When people in Canada found out I was american, I would get hit with:

1. Why do Americans think we live in an igloos, or have no running water.

2. Your country sucks.

3. Americans are assholes, but you are nice.

Those were the top 3.

Canadians don't feel bad.
As Americans it is our nature to dislike people from other countries. We have a feeling of absolute power and that everyone should look up to us. We are lazy and have huge egos. We try to change everyone to think and act the way we do. If the average American got their wish that the rest of the world was like them they would then see how much of an ass they really are.

As for myself I travel the world and get along with most I meet.
If you want to kill me because I am American then I will not like you.

When I lived in Michigan I would be in Canada every other weekend. Nice country but a little too cold for my taste in the winter.

actually I think its a matter that right now we are way too liberal for their tastes - we allow gay marriage, health care and are loved by the world. History has always shown that when we do something that is against what americans want, they get royally pissed like somehow they own us.

sad thing is that many consider us another state of america when in fact, we have so much more than they do and before anyone jumps all over this.. simply look at a few examples

- lumber
- water (lakes and BC)
- uranium
- diamonds
- drugs

to name just a few things that the government of USA is wanting from us and we arent handing it over.

Most americans have no clue much less care about what happens in canada or any other country - even the ones they are occupying - some actually believe the world owes them a favor.

Canadians on the whole love their american brothers, but on the whole see them as spoiled bully's. I even remember how pissed off some were when someone took a picture of australia and put it over america to show its as large as they were, and the TV station got so many angry calls?? God, wait until people put Canada over the USA and cover it from the sun

I like Canadians and can't think of anything bad to say about them... everyone I've met there have been nice unlike here....

Its because you all act like your shit doesn't stink and we get sick hearing it. You spend 100% of the time complaining about American's problems while you turn a blind eye on your own.

I can't tell you have many times since I have lived here that I have gotten into this argument.

I could care less about any country really. All I care about is how I can make money with their citizens.

I don't judge, I don't harp on, unless I'm defending the USA.

I love Canada. I lived there for years. I just don't see why Canadians hate the US and citizens as much as they do.

For the most part, when I visit Canada....I am met with friendliness and great manners....mild fun....I love the place.

Having said that...we ARE the Ugly Americans to most countries.

this iz, 4 the most part true. i come down 2 the states w/ some ov my friendz, and all they talk about iz how canada iz so perfect and the us iz fukked up.
