Purecash will be closing down

The PureCash program is owned in partnership by 2 separate companies. One of those parties has recently decided to leave the industry and focus on their mainstream business interests. We respect their decision and wish them the best of luck with their future endeavors. Due to these circumstances we feel it is best to close the PureCash program. As most of you are aware, we operate the WEGCash.com and G3X.com affiliate programs. We look forward to focusing 100% of our efforts on these 2 programs and building upon the success we achieved during 2004.

Existing affiliates will continue to be able to log in and view stats during this wind down period. All existing affiliates should remove any links to PureCash sites by midnight 3/14/2005. All payouts for the remaining unpaid pay periods will be paid according to the regular PureCash payout schedule. This means that payouts for the period ending 2/28/2005 will be made on 3/14/2005 and payouts for period ending 3/14/2005 will be made on 3/28/2005. For affiliates that participating in the recurring programs we will be paying you based upon your average member retention for the last 3 months for any remaining active members.

We apologize for the inconvenience this will undoubtedly cause some of you. We look forward to continuing our relationship thru your participation in the WEGCash.com and G3X.com programs. If you have any questions please don?t hesitate to contact Cory at [email protected] .

Hmm... I was about to start promoting some Purecash sites.

What will happen to the existing sites? Are they being sold?

Was wondering the same thing.

Funky Bastard 03-01-2005 04:04 PM

Why close down sell sell sell?

jscott 03-01-2005 04:06 PM

dammit, that sucks, they have always had some really hot girls

Harmon 03-01-2005 04:06 PM

Do we get any money that is owed us? IE: I have $25 sitting there... not enough to cut a check. I never gave the program much attention, but still sad to hear it's shutting down.

xlogger 03-01-2005 04:08 PM

Guys, why shut it down? Why not hire someone to run it for you.

ME. :)

That has got to suck. Good luck with everything. I would have suggested selling, but we are all different.

Manowar 03-01-2005 04:11 PM

at least they are paying something. Thats cool, but what I cant understand is why you are closing these sites down when you could just incoporate them in to your existing programs?

Roald 03-01-2005 04:15 PM

Wow thats a shame, why not sell it instead? Or will it actually be sold and pop up under a new name later?

Babagirls 03-01-2005 04:16 PM

why not just sell it?? some links are impossible to take down (like on tgp's, cant touch old galleries)

JSA Matt 03-01-2005 04:16 PM

Krispy Kreme got my letter?

LOL, just kidding... sorry to hear that :)

Trax 03-01-2005 04:17 PM

sorry to hear that... as long as wegcash keeps running strong I'm fine though ;)

Just_Dave 03-01-2005 04:19 PM

why not just add it to weg cash

uvort 03-01-2005 04:20 PM

Sorry to hear that, I'm surprised that you just don't toss them in your other programs like Johnny Traffic said.. oh well, to each their own :glugglug

Shooting_Manic 03-01-2005 04:22 PM

Wow! Amazing!

Makes sense now. I have not heard from Luke or any of those people in months. It was like they dropped off the face of the earth.

This is very interesting.

Good question.

slapass 03-01-2005 04:48 PM

why not email us this?

Peaches 03-01-2005 05:14 PM

We understand that changing link codes out can be a difficult prospect for some affiliates. In light of this; if you email [email protected] with your user name for PureCash and the link to a location where you would like all of the traffic from your account redirected to, we will be happy to set that up for you. We will redirect your traffic for a period of 90 days from 3/14/2005 which will give you ample time to track down any remaining codes. There are a large number of quality programs that I'm sure would be more than happy to have the traffic, http://www.silvercash.com and http://www.topbucks.com come to mind. Of course we would be very pleased to have the traffic as well; we just want to be clear that this is in no way an attempt to steal anyone's hard earned traffic, simply a business decision.

Emails ARE being sent to everyone in the program, but as you know, GFYExpress tends to work faster :winkwink:

I find this thread hilarious. Your telling people that your closing a program to concentrate on two other programs. Boy that really makes me wanna sign up for the other two programs. What's to say you won't do that in 6 months with the other two programs. Just my two cents. Just shot your crediability to hell in my opinion.

I am in the same situation...

whats the deal with this?

Peaches 03-01-2005 05:23 PM

Whatever you are owed on the last day of the program - 3/14/05 - you will get a check cut to you in that amount on 3/28/05. Even if it cost more for the stamp than you're owed, you'll get paid :)

nastyking 03-01-2005 05:31 PM

what type of mainstream business are they doing now? :upsidedow

iwantchixx 03-01-2005 05:32 PM

that's sad news. Looks like I'll be spending a night swapping out links.

Why not just sell the program to another big company? I'm sure some people would jump on the opportunity.

Fortunately, your opinion isn't worth much.

Re-read the post, do a little research, and then comment once more.

gdog 03-01-2005 05:36 PM

Kinda weird comment
"we just want to be clear that this is in no way an attempt to steal anyone's hard earned traffic, simply a business decision."

Peaches 03-01-2005 05:40 PM

It was suggested on another board that we were closing down in order to take traffic from webmasters that don't update often. I realize it wasn't said HERE, but if it was thought, I wanted to make sure to head it off at the pass :)

MandyBlake 03-01-2005 05:42 PM

well that sucks.
sorry to hear that.
if you have any old purecash gear you want to get rid of (shirts, hats, etc) let me know! :)

The Pure Cash / Krispy Kreme t-shirt given out at Cybernet in San Diego was the finest swag t-shirt in the history of convention t-shirts. I wear it all the time and people who have no idea what Pure Cash is comment on it.

Kimmykim 03-01-2005 06:09 PM

Well, let's see. You've given people notice that you're closing the affiliate program for the sites. You're paying them an average on their payouts when they don't have to maintain it. You're also giving them 3 months to find their links and move them and while they are doing that you are going to redirect all their traffic for them to a link of their choice.

Let me guess, next you will announce that you're going to their houses to wash all their cars by hand!

This is a classy way to close a program down, you don't see it very often.
