text messaging,who likes it?

i hate text messaging but god damn, every female in the world loves to text all day long,is this a female thing?

EroticySteve 07-15-2005 11:07 AM

It's annoying when someone could just as easily call. It's great though if you're in a club or a bar and it's too loud to talk. Typing on a phone keypad blows but It would probably be better on a Blackberry or a Sidekick.

In Europe, Asia it's used by everyone - for business, personal, sex, shopping, contests, you name it. I SMS my gf all the time but I think here in N.America it's still considered a "kids" thing.

khs 07-15-2005 11:08 AM

its better than talking to girls on the tele

Pipecrew 07-15-2005 11:09 AM

I'am a test message whore, i have even dumped people on it. like 20/day

yes, that is right.. here in the philippines... at least 8 out of 10 person has a mobile phones. and most of them use text messaging for everything.. whether business or personal..

4Pics 07-15-2005 11:13 AM

text messaging is the way of the future, much easier sometimes then calling and getting stuck on the phone.

Tera 07-15-2005 11:16 AM

I love it, it's great for dirty messages :thumbsup

loverboy 07-15-2005 11:17 AM

Philippines send an even more whopping ?120 to 150 million messages? per day as of 3Q 2004, beat that

:smokin

loverboy 07-15-2005 11:20 AM

every Filipino texter send an average of 300 SMS per month, damn

:smokin

Nylz 07-15-2005 11:21 AM

I send about 600 text messages a month :helpme

Scott McD 07-15-2005 11:21 AM

I'd be lost without it.

Saves soooooooo much hassle... :upsidedow

bdld 07-15-2005 11:27 AM

NetRodent 07-15-2005 11:29 AM

call me old fashion but i like talking on the phone, i like hearing peoples voices, especially if its a gf or some prospective gf.i think texting is cold and not personable, however it does come in handy when yr at bar/club etc...

Ramos 07-15-2005 11:34 AM

I like it..mainly because you can get to the point..it's perfect for booty calls!

LittleSassy 07-15-2005 11:42 AM

its cheaper...but i still prefer to call

EroticySteve 07-15-2005 11:45 AM

Costs me more to text cause I don't have a plan that supports heavy use. I prefer to talk it's quicker and less trouble. But like ICQ and AIM you can do multiple things at once when you can respond to a question, or multiple questions at leisure.

loverboy 07-15-2005 11:45 AM

my day will be incomplete w/o sending my usual txt numbers

:smokin

RRRED 07-15-2005 11:57 AM

I totally love it just for the simple fact that I'm not really a phone person and can respond at my leisure.

I think too that I'm so used to doing most of my communication over icq, it doesn't seem that odd to me.

And since I got the new treo I have to make a special effort NOT to get carried away cuz it's soooooo easy! I love it.

chase 07-15-2005 11:58 AM

I text a lot-it's cheap, and to the point, and I don't like being stuck on the phone unless I'm havign a very interesting convo, so it's better for that.

DatingGold 07-15-2005 11:59 AM

I find it useful.. like when I can't write down a number I just tell them to text message it to me.. if they can't I tell them to go to cingular.com and do it

vivency-AdamQ 07-15-2005 12:01 PM

it's ncie too if you integrate it with IM software like MSN.... then it's easier to talk.

Paco, of Large Cash. 07-15-2005 12:08 PM

I do not like text or instant messaging. I can barely handle having a cell.

It is an introvert extravert thing.

BigBen 07-15-2005 12:12 PM

I send a ton of text messages. Much better when you aren't in the mood to talk to someone :thumbsup

I do not understand: if I do not want to be disturbed or talk with someone, I simply do not answer (if my phone is even on).

I guess responding is simply the polite thing to do.

SouthernGirl 07-15-2005 01:07 PM

my old ass phone wont text , is there a way i can use my computer to text my friend's phones and to receive their text messages?

pornguy 07-15-2005 01:10 PM

We use it all the time here in mexico as well. It costs a lot less, and you can do about the same thieg. For the the cost is a great thing, as where I live, ( a roaming area ) my calls are 48 cents a minute. so for 3 cents, I can send a message.

Babagirls 07-15-2005 01:16 PM

i only text my friends back in Pittsburgh once in a while. its so much shorter than a phone call & yet, it lets them know you care :) (and i can get more work done) lol

Babaganoosh 07-15-2005 01:35 PM

I get text messages all the time but rarely send them. When someone sends me a message that requires a reply I just call them. I don't have the patience for typing out a message on that shitty little keypad.

johnuglo 07-15-2005 01:37 PM

I text all the time. sidekicks are very nice

icq will send text messages but how do I receive them back on my computer?

Extreme Holly 07-15-2005 01:54 PM

BigBen 07-15-2005 02:23 PM

It's good if I need to communicate something to someone but do not want to actually speak with them for whatever the reason may be. It's also nice when you're at a bar or club when it's hard to talk on the phone.

You're right female loves to text...
You know what's a good thing in texting... You can hide your identity.
