The best "Outro" ever was the piano at the end of "Layla" by Derek and the Dominoes (Eric Clapton)...

As for intros, there are many good ones, although I have always liked Elton John's somber opening to "Love Lies Bleeding" aptly titled "Funeral for a Friend" off of Yellow Brick Road.

"Bad Motor Scooter" by Montrose starts with a cool guitar-synth motorcycle running through the gears...

Actually the lead-in and slide guitar work Clapton later became famous for was laid down by Duane Allman.

Some good ones in here! :thumbsup

Here are a couple:

For longest coolest intro before the words kick in, its gotta be 'i need a lover' by johnny cougar melonhead.

for historic significance, and cool, "i feel fine" by the Beatles - first song to ever use guitar feedback, plus the song starts as just feedback for the first few seconds.

Fap 01-26-2008 10:23 PM

100% agree with Sweet Child O Mine, great intro. Is 'Money' from the album that supposedly syncs up with The Wizard of Oz? For some reason I seem to remember that from some high school class.

Also:

Aerosmith - Sweet Emotion
