I'm flattered...Would you fly 15 hours to see a woman?
especially if you could only get a day or two at most to spend with her?
don't get me wrong, I am far from complaining :winkwink: - I guess guys do still go that extra mile, and then some - for a woman they just met, or something or... LOL have you gone that extra mile to be with someone? ... and why? Do tell, I am curious :upsidedow . |
15 hours? Not likely, unless I had a private jet and she was the best piece of ass ever.
|
I would, but she'd have to be smoking hot!
|
I've gone 5-6 hours tops...15 must be something special!!!

Yes, I'd fly on my magic carpet to see my dear princess and I'd be wearing a suit of armor... no, GOLDEN armor, and she'd be adorned in a luxurious gown and crown. And then I'd sing to her in a baritone voice as lions and monkeys and zebras chant and dance under a setting sun.
Romantic. |
For that money I could fuck 3 hookers for hours :2cents

You hear about it all the time. People flying across the altantic or whatever to meet. Though its usually after months of talking.
|
Yes, If she is really special to me then a 15hr flight is worth it if I can spend some time with her, even if it is only for a day or two.

21.5 hour drive through the rocky mountains and back for my wife.
Well, she wasn't my wife at the time. We weren't even dating yet. But she was going to visit me in Vancouver, so I told her to get to Banff, and I'd pick her up so that she could see some of the most amazing sights that nature has to offer. I drove 10 hours from Vancouver to Banff through the mountains, picked her up and fueled up and drove right back out. Stopped at Lake Louise and a few places as I drove her right back to Vancouver. I was dead tired when I got back, but she stayed for a week while I showed her Grouse Mountain, dinner cruise, suspension bridge, horse drawn carriage ride through Stanley Park and more. 5 years later we are married and have 2 boys. |
no a chance in hell, unless it was a family member and i havent seen them in a long time.

Sure!
I never had a doubt that some women are more than worth it. |
they would be footing the bill :) Someone just starting out I think that is a little extreme but who knows it could work out for whoever.
|
If it was like a place i would want to visit and she is part of the game then ahh yes .. but if she is the only reason for going there i would not...:)
|
I think it would freak me out if someone I just met wanted to fly 15 hours to meet me. If it was somone I had talked to for awhile that would be different.
|
If I was going to fly to Australia for business [or pleasure] and I was going to be in the neighborhood of some chick I wanted to bang, I might tell her I was coming to see her.

From recent experience... (flying me about 5 hours away, for 2 days and one night, showering me in gifts and experiences, after having just met in Vegas) you do not want to go that route. Every action has a equal and opposite reaction. So when you tell him after the trip that he does live entirely too far away to consider an exclusive relationship at this point...
it will get very ugly. |
Oh come on people!
I think that's awesome that he's willing to do that. When my wife and I met, and I was in living in Austin, and she was in Houston, I made a 175 mile ride from Austin to Houston, in the second week of January. I left at 9:30pm on Thursday night, because I couldn't wait till Friday to go. It was 35 degrees, and at 70mph, that went down to 25 or so. I was on a '82 Kawasaki KZ550, wearing every peice of cold weather gear I owned, and still delirious from the freezing cold. Since I was travelling a road with zero lights on it, my headlight was all I had to see by, and since my tank only went for 90 miles, I ended up refueling twice, chugging a gas station cappuccino each time, to try to warm up. That first trip to Houston took me five hours. Flash forward 3 years: We're married, have a 6-month old son, and just bought a gorgeous house. Who knows, maybe this dude is the one?! |
Of course I would. Actually, come to think of it, I have.
There are few truly interesting women out there, so missing out on someone special just because she lives a few hours away would be silly. Besides, I like airplane food :) |
