anyone know any FREEMASONS?

My cousin is in a lodge and that dude is straight business pimp.. money, cars, nice home... Several years ago, before he joined, he was a broke-ass dreamer.

Thinking of trying to get in :upsidedow

Machete_ 11-18-2008 01:45 PM

Trying wont do it. Get a mentor and dont suck his cock

tranza 11-18-2008 01:45 PM

Yes, I do know some people.

And they do help each other out. A lot.

:2 cents:

czarina 11-18-2008 01:48 PM

I know a couple of them. Both very nice guys... one owns a small fumigation company and has very little money. The other one used to do OK, but not anymore, poor thing.
So I don't think they're really "protected" if that's what you mean.

Yep. I know a guy in the Freemasons. He just goes to meetings. He's broke too. Can barely keep his house, and he's an older dude. Almost 60.

OG LennyT 11-18-2008 01:51 PM

what I mean is he seems to have really straightened out his priorities in life, got his shit together... tells me they have helped him become a better person. He's already asked me about the organization (seeing how interested I was)

JuiceMonkey 11-18-2008 01:52 PM

Majority of my close friends are free masons, I won`t join due to the religious aspect.

Trixie 11-18-2008 02:26 PM

You need to be related to someone else who's a Mason to get in, but usually someone will pretend to be your cousin or uncle. In some parts of the world and this country and in some lodges there's probably a connection between Masonry and success, but definitely not in others -- all of those fraternal organizations are dying out. But if you can ignore some of the bullshit (racism, etc.) and just focus on the positive aspects you can't really go wrong except that it can be a major time/energy suck.

If you just do it for networking it's probably not worth it (unless you live in the south) since for every connection you make who will help you out, there are 100 people who will actually discriminate AGAINST you for being a Mason.

SkeetSkeet 11-18-2008 02:38 PM

my family is full of them, father, grandparents, ;)

MetaMan 11-18-2008 02:40 PM

FREEMASONS are faggots. :2 cents:

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 11-18-2008 02:42 PM

I Invented The Free Masons.

Actually though I know several of them, I live in the heart land of the Free Masons in California. They are not gweedo's and pimps they are smart educated and well beyond what people think of them.

They are not a organised crime group, they are builders/Architects and developer's of societies all over the world. Usually how it works out is the Masons build a place people populate it, then the churches come in and start bad press about them.

They are great company and good people.

It's all about networking.

OMG Jim 11-18-2008 02:52 PM

The Freemasons seem to be pretty active in the metro Atlanta area from the number of lodges that I have seen over the years living here.

I have talked with a Freemason before that was very secretive about the whole organization but the bottom line is that he told me that a member can not ask you to join but that you must come forth yourself and ask if you can attend a meeting and learn about them.

It seems like a fraternity to me but about the only info I could get out of him was that many very wealthy and successful businessmen are members so I guess this would give someone an opportunity to network their way up the business ladder a bit.

Also he told me that if a member dies or is killed in an accident that the widow & family is well taken care of ??? That is all that he would elaborate on. Very sketchy.

Yes they were.

JayMoyes 11-18-2008 03:35 PM

As a Lutheran, I'm forbidden to join (granted, I'm surprised I haven't been excommunicated yet anyhow). However, what I like about the Masons is the focus on improvement of the self.

I've known one Mason in BDSM, but he's a Master works on his own honor system and protocol. I don't know how the Masons feel about members or prospects in the porn business.

Don't forget, there are some other great fraternal organizations and business groups out there too, such as the Rotary, Elks, Moose, and Toastmasters.

EscortBiz 11-18-2008 03:37 PM

I see someone watched some stupid shit on TV

There are almost 3 million free masons just here in the united states it became a big fucking joke

KillerK 11-18-2008 03:38 PM

National Treasure 1 and 2

WOOT!

BradM 11-18-2008 03:40 PM

It's a sham. Besides I can't get in, I'm agnostic.

It used to mean something now it's basically just a Rotary club.

Holly 11-18-2008 03:49 PM

I'm Southern.

You can't drive 10 feet without passing a Masonic Lodge.

GetSCORECash 11-18-2008 04:11 PM

My dad is a Mason. They do have connections, but like any group, they Rich Lodges and Poor Lodges. They are also divided between Whites, Black, and Hispanics lodges, even by country of origin lodges.

His lodge has tried several times to get me in, even mentioned that it would be easy for me, but I don't have the time to get involved.

You have to be invited, it's not something you can simply go, and be a part off. Most of the hispanic lodges here in Miami don't have much of a membership, as the younger guys like us, don't want to join.

Once you join a lodge, you can transfer to another, with a letter from the head mason. So you could try finding a lodge with a small group of elderly guys, who want to replenish their ranks, once you are in, wait a few months, and start visiting other lodges, then eventually leave for the lodge you want to be a part off.

It's like joining a Fraternity, or social club, so do keep that in mind.

They are also like a cult, and do spiritual rituals, can't say much, but if you read some books about the different levels and powers you attain as you master each level, you may end up not wanting to join.

I do admire, that they recognise each other, and that once they introduce themselves, they do help each other out.

Depends on the lodge. My uncle who got cancer, and was a mason, got cash, once he couldn't get out of bed. They supposedly pay your funeral arrangements, and tend to have a plot available for you.

I haven't seen or heard of anyone getting taken care off for life.

Its the Free Masons dude, not World of Warcraft.
You right about Fraternity, you are dead wrong about Occult Worship.:1orglaugh

THats the shit that scare people and is totally untrue.
THere is enlightenment and education but it is not religeous the only requirement of being a mason is an acknowdgement of a god. Be it Islamic, Christan or Toto from the Wizard Of Oz. THey do not have a Masonic god. One only needs to acknowledge exhistance of a "God". You can not be godless in the Masons. Godless men have no soul and some think those that do not believe in a god of anykind have lost site of thier own humanity.

People that do not have a god or believe in a god any god for that can be viewed as dangerous.

DO not lie about the Masons.

notoldschool 11-18-2008 05:18 PM

lots of them in the Army. In PLDC the worst student in our unit was free mason and we thought he wouldnt even pass, yet at the end he got the highest scores in the class and thats when I learned what a free mason was. Come to find out that my drill was also a free mason and i they belonged in the all black chapter. Fucking losers.

shwsrvcs 11-18-2008 05:29 PM

my dad was a Mason, all of my sisters were "Honored Queen" in "Job's Daughters" and all that mess. The Masons are basically a contact system, think of them like the first rolodex or blackberry. They are an organized coalition of people that get together to exchange ideas and prospects to make a better life for each other. You can rise as far as you want to in their ranks and meet more powerful people as you go along. There are rituals that are adhered to as you rise to establish your identity with these higher powered people. they are kept secret so that "Joe the Cab Driver" can't just come in and fuck things up.

is Obama a Mason?

The good old freemasons, a pyramid structured organization with the top plotting for world control and the bottom playing a game they do not understand.

I didn't say it was Occult Worship. I said they are like a Cult, with secret rituals, and levels of mastery, which from reading books on the matter, I do not want to be a part off.

I'm passing along this information as to how it looks from an outsider, who has been invited to join.

The mason, don't make mention of their levels of mastery to the public.

Take it as opinion, take it as fact. I'm not a mason.

mikesouth 11-18-2008 07:02 PM

freemasonary is not a religion it is a brotherhood. The founding principles go back to biblical times. At the lower levels first - thrid degrees, which most masons are its mor fellowship oriented, it isnt until you get to the advanced degrees that you really begin to understand freemasonry and what it means.

You do not join the freemasons, nobody can join. You have to be accepted and to be accepted you have to be nominated by no fewer than three freemasons in goodstanding and you must then pass the degrees.

AnalProbe 11-18-2008 07:17 PM

They came at my door last Sunday morning, trying to sell me books about a guy named Hova, who is probably their leader.

They are also known as The Weight Watchers.

:winkwink:

Did you miss the post about the Lutheran who's forbidden to become a Mason? Not aware of how many churches think Masons are crazy devil worshipers? Didn't read any of the posts with people spouting retarded bullshit/rumours about things they know nothing about?
