who said you cant "shave" on NATS ?

Who said you cant "shave" or edit sales stats on NATS ?

I just witnessed a program owner edit my stats back and forth in a matter of seconds. (with my permission)

First i got credited some sales, then got removed some. It all got reflected in the program's stats area. It was done within 1 or 2 minutes.

What a load of shit, LOL

Anti-shaving systems built into NATS my ass. I witnessed my stats being edited in real-time (sales added / removed)

cykoe6 10-20-2009 08:24 AM

I had heard that shaving was not possible in Nats. Perhaps a statement from the Nats guys would be helpful here.

Agent 488 10-20-2009 08:24 AM

post the url so we know who to avoid.

Twig 10-20-2009 08:25 AM

First day back home and I come home to NATS shaving.
Must be on GFY.

munki 10-20-2009 08:25 AM

Adding, and removing a manual sale, does not shaving equate.

Since when do affiliates shave? Programs do. If you think that any program can not be shaved, you are wrong.

Fuck, even CCBill COULD shave if they wanted to, but as far as I know, they have no vested interest in doing so because they are a third party.

XMaster 10-20-2009 08:27 AM

Adding or removing sales has nothing to do with shaving.

notoldschool 10-20-2009 08:30 AM

Yup a lot of programs out there seem to do the reverse shaving quite a lot though. They just add in sales (which is easy) to make your ratio look pretty.

TMM_John 10-20-2009 08:33 AM

1) Someone is desperate for sales or attention these days.

2) We don't allow shaving. If we find someone to be doing so, we'll terminate their license.

3) Unlike some other affiliate back ends, we have never and will never have a feature built into NATS for the purpose of shaving sales from affiliates.

4) Fabian was bought out of TMM a long time ago.

5) Anonymous TROLLS are fun!

6) Post proof or get that ban thing.

7) People can cheat you in SOME way no matter if they are on NATS, CCBill, MPA, Epoch, or Bob's Affiliate Deluxe. Trust those you do business with.

your unverified joins thing was pretty much the same thing, it allowed affiliates to send sales that the program owner would first have to "approve" so the affiliates would see it in their stats and get paid for it

dont pretend your somehow at a higher road than mpa3 with that commment

It was actually the complete opposite.

It SHOWED you the sale and SHOWED you that you weren't being paid for it.

That is the opposite of shaving.

EscortBiz 10-20-2009 08:50 AM

plain and simple if the program you promote does not report in real time but rather updates every few hours you are being robbed

if you get real time stats you have nothing to worry about with ccbill nats epoch etc

now the saving tools used in the past by some with another program platform had a built in shave that means that every say 5 signups dont credit one, now with that you would still get realtime stats but you would not get credit for all your joins

quantum-x 10-20-2009 08:55 AM

The reality is this: Within the software of NATS you cannot shave. There is no shave function. You can add bonus sales. They cannot be rescinded.

Outside of NATS? Sure, anyone with DB control can delete the appropriate rows, wrap the tracking modules and divert traffic, etc.

But that's outside of NATS.

affiliates sending good sales through nats and not getting paid for them is not the opposite of shaving lol

LadyMischief 10-20-2009 09:03 AM

Just because the Nats program has the ability to credit or remove sales doesn't indicate shaving. Someone would literally have to manually go in and screw with things. Any good program has the ability to give affiliates credit or to remove sales, it's a manual process though.

What you said was wrong, so now you're changing your argument.

You also have no proof what you're saying here ever happened (someone not being paid for a "good sale").

Anyone can fuck with anything. The point is we don't support it, don't allow it, and never have.

gleem 10-20-2009 09:10 AM

I've been using NATS 3 for years, you manually add a sale to a single affiliate, and on the page you add the sale it says

"You are about to add a sale, this sale cannot be removed later!!"

I suppose you can go into the database manually and mess with the numbers, but good luck getting thing to work and add up correctly afterward, let alone get it past TMM when the script calls home or they do an upgrade or something else.

Original poster is a retard and does not understand the definition of "shaving".

Matyko 10-20-2009 09:18 AM

Sponsors can 'shave' but the legal way is not via NATS but via fucking short time cookies :(

Should I use a razor, clippers, or nair on mah ballz?

Oohhh, I thought this was a thread on the most effective way to shave your nuts.

glad you made 7 figures, what does that have to do with what I said? Saving doesnt mean all out robbing everything.

If the fucking stock market that deals with a billion more pieces of data then a adult site can be updated real time then a affiliate program can do the same

I wont push people who cant do real time stats, you do what you wish
