Who hates tube sites the most?

1. Gallery submitters.

2. Affiliates who depend solely on signups to programs they promote.

3. Big programs that use their content to sell other products besides porn site memberships.

4. Big programs that dont use thier content to sell other products.

5. Small programs with like 50 full scenes in their members area who were lucky to have ever gotten a single paying member anyway.

6. Dating and webcam sites.

7. Old time TGP's and MGP's who's Alexa ratings looks like a falling rock.

I vote for #5, the small programs that have jack shit for content in their sites.

Paul Markham 12-13-2009 07:29 AM

The problem is not Tube sites. It's the industries lack of willingness to compete with them.

Lots of big programs use thier content for tube sites they own. They make money upselling to their paysites, dating adds, web cam ads etc etc. Content is just as valuable a asset when used to sell other products besides porn memberships. The smart people seem to get this.

Agreed!

If Brazzers wants and can do there own tube site with knowledge that they can make lots of money from their porn sites still. Well.... Its only a little competition.

Id rather not have the free porn to compete with, however, for my content, you have to come to my sites. :2 cents:

jay23 12-13-2009 08:05 AM

A lot of the VOD sites that sell movies on Pay Per Min bases ....why pay 10 cents a min to watch the same movie that can be found on a tube site for free.

The smart VOD sites operators are offering values that cant be found on a tube site such as very high encodes (even HD), large selection (100K+ movies) to compete with Tubes.

EXACTLY, if your gonna compete in today's market you better have a minimum of 10k movies. The day's of buying 30 scenes throwing a site and affiliate program together in a day then making bank are in the past.

oooops I voted for #5 again, the small programs have gotta hate tubes the most. If anyone got fucked by tube sites it was them.

jay23 12-13-2009 08:45 AM

Also any programs that sold generic porn.....100 tours on 100 domains, all came to one single members area filled with crappy content.

LickMyBalls 12-13-2009 08:57 AM

I don't hate tube sites at all. I hate illegal tube sites that steal other's content and profit from it but a site that has legal licenses to use the content on their tube, I have no problem with that whatsoever.

I second that. The only bad thing about tubes is stealing content.

sell stupid someplace else - they use OTHER people's content WITHOUT permission, THEFT, to make money upselling to their paysites, dating ads, webcam ads etc etc

show me these tube sites owned by programs who use solely their own content -

i know Nubiles does. if you can name more, do it.

nobody ever said shady people aren't smart.

I didnt say anything about theft, but as long as a tube site follows the law, which really fucking sucks, they are not stealing in the eyes of the law. I'm not defending tube sites that use content without permission, but as long as they follow take down laws theres nothing you or anyone else can do about them, is there?

As far as showing you sites that use thier own content why should i post this? There are many out there do your own research if you really want to find them, they are not hard to find.

You can bitch and moan all fucking day long calling them thieves, assholes, whatever. At the end of the day they are lawfull and are making a killing.

DukeDollars does... They have a few tube sites they own in which they uploade/share their own (clips, not full vids) content... abusedtube.com defaceherface.com is a couple tube they own... Promoting their own paysite...

BAKO 12-13-2009 10:09 AM

SleazyDream 12-13-2009 10:14 AM

arock10 12-13-2009 10:41 AM

1 and 7 are directly related as gallery submitters have been hurt by old skool tgps getting fucking owned

So I'd say 1 & 7 have lost a lot more money over all compared to little paysite program owners (#5) cause I doubt their profits are anywhere close to 1&7 combined if totaled.

Anyway - gallery submitters can now become tube submitters and small paysite programs can directly market with tubes (exgf sites, etc - sure revenues may be lower but if you get to keep 100% by cutting out affiliates it can still work).

So really I'd vote for #7 cause they are fucked. Hope they saved up back in 1999

Agent 488 12-13-2009 10:53 AM

1 and 7. small program owners can just you their shit content to make cross-sell card banger sites to make up for lost revenue.

Gerco 12-13-2009 11:07 AM

The only reason I hate tubes is the outright theft. When I have to DMCA the same tube more than 3 times it gets a little old.

For example...http://www.shufuni.com/wtf/DF05DA12-...401118BA7.html

Gee, almost 97 thousand views... they even took the effort to reencode my watermark out of the video so out of those views ZERO know it's mine and where to look to find me. So glad it's good enough to promote the Face Book of Sex, Adult Friend Finder etc. (sarcasm)

Now if the same site had actually not removed my watermark, or at the VERY least made some effort to actually promote me (Since I own the video after all). Then, I would have no issue with them using it.

So, you may be correct, it's number 5 (although I have a LOT more than 50 videos, right now about 400 hours worth in my members area) but don't worry, the smaller original sites won't be around much longer to complain anyways.

Gallery submissions to tube sites is a whole different ball game, I don't see a model for affiliates to be able to submit to tube sites unless they used bought content licensed for use on tubes and not their own tube. Highly doubtfull any content broker would sell a license like that. But paysite owners having exclusive content hell they can do whatever they want with their own content. If I owned a paysite with a lot of content hell I would just contact the tubes and say fuck it heres my vids use them only with a link back to me, in fact here I'll make you a player with my watermark linked to my site. Then I would make my own tube site using my content to promote my paysite and sell add spots to dating and cam sites. If I can make moeny promoting dating sites and cam sites with my paysites content why not? Protecting my content from tubes and making people pay for it is not gonna increase my signups at my paysite. There are many different ways to skin a cat.

if people were really smart they would have never started giving out content to begin with. You can make sales all day long and not even give out full size pics.

Agent 488 12-13-2009 11:45 AM

there are plenty of affiliates submitting to tubes using a bunch of different angles. you just don't see them blabbing here as they don't want the competition.

What "law" are you referring to, Choker? I'm just kinda curious.

Please -- enlighten me.

Now you are trying to decide who hates them the most?

You fall in category #5. You have what 50 full scenes in your entire network of what 10 sites? Yeah yeah it's niche so it's different. Doesnt change the fact that a surfer signs up at your site sees a whopping 50 movies for $29.99 feels ripped off never pays for a paysite again because of seeing what a joke some paysites are.

Oh I dont know what laws control copyrights and have pretty much gave the green light for tubes to do what they are doing? Hey I'm not defending anyone here, I'm just trying to get a discussion going.

I didn't know that, but I dont really pay much attention to the big tubes anyway, just looked at them earlier today first time in over a month and I noticed some new partnerships.

The answer is there are no laws. The major tubes pirate content to procure traffic. They're "major" tubes because they do this -- steal. Surfers don't give a shit about legal tubes, cause legal tubes are not giving away the entire movie -- because they either own it, or license it.

Tube 8 and the rest of their ilk provide free content to the end user, who now not only is spoiled with great, free content...but will be less likely to ever cough up money for content ever again.

TGP's and MGP's and all the rest were NEVER like this -- ever. Comparing them to Tubes is apples and oranges.

And we support them by not doing a thing to stop it - except blah blah blah...talk talk talk about it and do nothing.

You're an idiot.

You keep babbling that same shit over and over, makes me laugh, you have no clue.

I was over 100,000 pics and 150 hours of video (all exclusive) in 2001 when your half bald ass was still stuck driving a cab. :2 cents:

You are a bottom feeder and do no good for this industry what so ever. Never have and never will. In fact you are part of it's demise. :2 cents:

You should go back to driving a cab or maybe you can be a part time spokesperson for "The Hair Club For Men".

LOL, I hope I am part of the reason for the demise of shitty sites like the ones you own. Your one of those guys who was at the right place at the right time. Now that it takes real talent to make money online, idiots like you are being phased out of existance. Demise of this industry? I don't see a demise coming on, I see a new era full of opportunities, but not for paysite owners whose entire sites I could fit on one flash drive like yours. You talk like your such a big shot, does anyone except you promote your shitty paysites? Show me one affililiate besides yourself.
