How much russian ICQ spam you getting today?

:(:(:(:( it doesnt seem to stop

Tom_PM 01-25-2010 11:25 AM

I never get spam messages on my icq. If someone tries to message me that is not on my contact list, icq tells me that someone who is not on my contact list tried to send me something, then gives the option to block them.

Yup its from people on my contact list as well on several occasions... seems there icq #'s have been compromised

$5 submissions 01-25-2010 06:30 PM

It uses infected ICQ accounts

Voodoo 01-25-2010 06:40 PM

I haven't gotten any in a while. When someone new tries to add me, I look to see who it is first... If I don't recognize them, or if it's some BS name, I just block them.

Cyber Fucker 01-25-2010 06:46 PM

I don't receive icq spam. What I am doing wrong? :helpme

slayer69 01-25-2010 07:42 PM

quit Icq a while back. Daily Russian spam drove me crazy. Skype is the shit.

ladida 01-25-2010 07:55 PM

It's been horrible like a month a go. Would get 10+ daily. Now it somewhat stopped. Last week maybe 10 alltogether.

designerscode 01-25-2010 08:33 PM

For freelancers like us, there's really not much option but to add them at first. If there's no message within 2 days we usually block and delete them in icq. But then again, it leaves you to deal with the same problem the next day :(
