Nope, you are wrong.. HE IS NOT DREAMING. FACT. And if my words are not enough for you, then take a look at this: Interpretation of the ending: Seconds before the film cuts to the end credits, the spinning top wobbles, but the audience does not see it stop or hear it stop. This leaves the audience wondering whether all of the final sequence was perhaps another of Cobb's dreams rather than reality. However, in an interview on The Chris Moyles Show, Michael Caine stated that "[The spinning top] drops at the end, that's when I come back on. If I'm there it's real, because I'm never in the dream. I'm the guy who invented the dream."[45] PERIOD. . |

Wow I love the Assassination of Jesse James soundtrack as well and listen to it constantly while working. I thought I was the only one.

Has anybody bought the blue ray? Is it 2 discs or one?
The makings of a movie are just as good or even better that some of the movies i watch. The makings of any movie rock!! The makings of "The Expendables" were way better that the movie. What Sly went through to finish that movie, really made me have a whole new respect for the man. If you have not seen, the makings, do so. Its pretty cool. But very long. But then again, i love working on mainstream sets.

Don't listen to Dirtywhiteboy. What he said isn't quite right, and even if you knew the ending (which you don't). knowing the ending does not spoil the movie, nor is the ending of the movie necessarily the climax. You really have to see the movie.

The totem isn't to tell him if he's dreaming or not. It's to tell him if he's in someone elses dream. Cobb walks away from the totem which he never did before. You could say that he no longer cares if he's in a dream or not. Besides all of this, there's another important cue that happens after the movie ends. Yes, watch the credits. Listen. The audio cues are really important to the movie and to know your place within the movie. Anyway, forget the ending. It's really important that you view (and listen) to inception as a whole. If you haven't seen the movie but now know how it ends, it doesn't matter. Rent it anyway, and pay very close attention to as much detail as you possibly can. The spoken words, the music, and the screen detail. Also pay careful attention to the rules as Cobb explains them to the new architect where she begins to mess around with reality. If you can grasp it it sets up the entire rest of the movie and makes it that much cooler.

I rented the BD the other night and made the big mistake of eating a big dinner before laying down to watch the movie. I nodded out just after the movie started for about 20 minutes which didn't help with laying the groundwork for me understanding the rest of the movie so I will watch it again.
I can say that the cinematography and special effects was extraordinary and a pleasure to watch on BD. I'm sooooo tired of the jerky camera work common in today's film and the way they shot this gives you maximum opportunity to concentrate on what's going on. I did get the dream within a dream within a dream deal but I felt that was pushing it a little bit too far for my tastes. I like the thought of things like time travel and implanting thoughts into someones dream but the multilayers pushed it beyond my realm of possibility. However, it still made for a great storyline and wasn't hard to comprehend as long as you pay attention. It's a great movie that's easy on the eyes and stimulating to the mind for those that care. |
