For those of you worried about me...Thank You.

I'll keep this simple,

For those of you wondering, we are still in business. We HAVE NOT cut off paying everyone. We have cut off a few webmasters, (Not that many) due to the fact of abusing our system. I can't and will not go into details here. Not 100% my decision, as most of you know, I'm have a business partner.

This industry has been great to me, my partner and a lot of affiliates. We made a lot of people a lot of money and I'm proud to see so many people succeed. There are still a lot of you, you know who you are getting some really big wires.

I noticed day in and day out staring into my computer that 15 years of my life passed before my eyes. Yes, I do diversify but I used to spend majority of my time in the office.

I spent time here on GFY because I made some cool friends here, not because you guys cared for an AVS site.

Not to get into my personal life, but I have elderly relatives out of state that need me now, and I am spending quality time with my Wife and Twins, and giving them a life I didn't have.

I'm putting more of my focus on our Mainstream Projects and my Family so consider it a Semi-Retirement.

Hope this clears it up.

Thanks Dean for checking in.

Even Sarah Maxcash got cutoff Dave, so whatever you guys may have changed must've affected a lot of webmasters who weren't abusing the system, I'm assuming.

LOL .... so you cut me off because I was abusing your system? Care to explain how affiliates who promoted you over 10 years suddenly abuse you?

At least you could answer your email .....

Not really. You were here one day all gun ho how you weren't going any where and had big projects you were working on and literally the next day you were gone, for a couple months. You came back to remove your sig, but not reply to anyone about lack of payments etc till now. I am sure you can understand everyone's confusion and concern.

Congrats on your semi-retirement. Hit me up some time if you want to chat.

Why no sig though? that tells me that you are no longer part of the company and/or don't want to be associated with the direction it is going.

I agree with you that there are more important things than money. It's so easy to forget that. Life is definitely more important as are kids and family. I guess sometimes we just have to do what we have to do especially when times get tough. Although sometimes I wonder if there are better ways to handle a situation and other options. Pretty easy to make a wrong choice sometimes when under a lot of stress. It can be better to take a step back or two and look at it again. We're all human after all.

Anyway take care. Happy holidays and I hope somehow things work out for the best for everyone involved.

This is true..I called and was given a new password but that is also now not working. Dave has always been very helpful to me and that includes helping me with an issue right up until this started to happen. It is just frustrating to have been given the new login and now not be able to use it and to know full well I abused nothing.

I was thinking the same thing.

This thread explained nothing, and quite a lot of people came in here saying "congrats"!

WTF? The guy stopped paying it's webmasters and people congratulate him? I really don't get it.

We don't owe that many people much money, its very little. Maybe a handful. It's people that have not updated their sites in years, most of them have dead links and never cared to update their sites and they make our links pages look bad. We have paid out Millions without having to make a sale. The free ride is over and we are focusing on webmasters that are keeping their sites updated, making new sales every month and dedicated on using our services.

We are not hurting and sales are still coming in. I just decided after 15 years of Very Hard Work. I'm taking some time off. It was a great ride. I can always make money, but my kids will only be kids once.

Thanks Will,

This contradicts everything else you are saying. Why did you change your sig ? You said your business partner is making decissions you don't like and you basically leaving the company. Now you saying "we" decided to do this. So was it him and you not approved or you were part of deciding not to pay people.

Deciding not to send people check's is not cutting off a free ride, it's deciding not to pay people you owe money to.

"sales" more than 1 might be coming in, but i don't think you fooling anyone here if you think people believe your cam site, tube site or cyberage is doing great.

hmm, this does not sound too good. . people owed money should be paid out 100% of the time especially if you are not "out of business"

people not getting paid when a company goes busto I can understand ,but just flat out cutting people out for random reasons and refusing to pay whatever is due sounds real bad

I can't stand how this industry does that. SO unprofessional.

In the mainstream world, when a business relationship is terminated by one party they give notice and time to address it. In adult, they terminate you, keep your traffic (sometimes) and then keep what they owe you. They look the other way when it's a grey area and profit until they decide to just stop without notice.

"fuck you, pay me." lol

sounds like he changed his terms now, but, that does not cover payments that were already outstanding.

go to a mainstream boards. plenty of mainstream affiliate networks crashed and burned and stiffed people in 2010 as well.

great depression 2.0 + rapid technological change = general chaos.

yeah of course it happens everywhere, and I suppose I was referring to not just internet biz...

It's just easier to burn people on the internet in general.

online industry needs a BBB for B2B transactions. so one can *easily* look up the good and bad of companies AND the people behind them.
I would easily pay to subscribe to such a thing, if it had good, searchable, convenient info that filled the gap.
People that run out on their debts = fucking losers.

I would be ashamed to admit I hang around or associate or do business with someone like this.

Just last week I had a foreign employee quit on me after putting me through some considerable trouble (no notice, disappeared for a while, etc). She showed up weeks later, asking to be paid for the pro rated amount of a job she had not finished. [which was tiny, and frankly not worth my time even to do the paypal, never mind make up for the hassles she had brought upon me]. But what did I do? I sent her the goddamn money because I pay my debts, not just to people that can hurt me, but to people who can't.

Sometimes I'm really embarassed to work "online".

http://www.ripoffreport.com usually works pretty well believe it or not. It isn't perfect but it's a great place to report people who screw you as long as you make sure to sufficiently identify them. From what I gather they tend not to remove reports easily under casual legal threats although they have some sort of advocacy plan which tries to sugar coat it. Even so the reports seem to stay up. Hit that site and a dozen like it with sufficient info on the online business and owners who ripped you off and they will not be able to avoid getting hurt by it. Just make sure you really mean what you say because I don't think they will take the report down or allow you to edit it after the fact.
