i'm about half way there.. hehe

the more you work on flexibility and pinpoint the hamstrings the better I do, I find anyway.

I wish Crossfit gyms didnt charge such insane rates for memberships. I love the idea behind it, but god damn they are way too expensive

my vertical(last I measured it) was 35" in 9th grade.. I think it was a bit higher, as I could jump up onto those 3' boxes and I'd come down onto them rather than bending(like this guy did). I could dunk in 8th grade and put my hand inside the net in 7th(for some reason, couldn't dunk then though).

I was very, very flexible and did calf raises and other explosive leg workouts like crazy. now my vertical is probably only 15" though

It took a LOT of hard work - I started doing calf raises quite often when I was 8 years old.

maybe he can get a job in the NBA to be the rebound guy after a free through so he can jump on the shoulders of smaller guys

More or less, I don't go to one of those fancy x fit gyms though. I consider it more of a gymnastics style workout with more weight...

I haven't done a calf raise in years.. I'm almost at the rim again, but i'm only 5'6 ;)

If you do a few different versions of squats/dead lifts correctly with explosive technique your calves are more than covered.. I've seen guys and girls plate up 1000 lbs on the leg press doing calve work.. none of them can jump worth a shit hehe It's more for bodybuilders than performance is my point.

this is written horribly, but I try to add 1 or 2 of these to every workout. Also great for building speed...

I wanted to stop in one when i was in the cleveland area and florida, but they were both around 200 a month and you can't do a day pass, or train on your own so I lost interest fast.. heh

cheaper to grab some bumper plates at home and get a decent barbell with a rack. Even the competitors do that still.
