WebAir again? Fuck!!!!... WTF is going on?

WebAir again? Fuck!!!!... WTF is going on?

I have not touched my CP in about a month? The first time I go back, I can?t even create a database? And I have been on live help for over 2 hours?

I am always having issues with their shit, why do I still fucken bother putting up with it?

I have read so many post here with ppl and issues, but the issue always seems to get fixed quick when posted on a board? THAT?S FUCKED UP? It should be fixed before it gets to this point?

The live support can?t fix shit, unless is an easy one like ?how to add a domain? and when I ask the tech to talk to Gerard Helton my account manager, hes response was ?aaron: heh,, I don't even know Gerard Helton does he own this company or something??

WOW

I have tried Gerard on ICQ for hmmm 5 hours now, with no response?

Yeah, real happy customer here?

mmmm creating databases in webair can be somewhat tricky ...but doable........a virtual account I have at another hosting company lets me create databases with names such as: Krazy-Db-name ..........on webair however you need to keep it short and the names need to be in lowercase.....don't use dashes or anything like that..........for instance "krazydb"

try it out......

Do yourself a big favor and save your biz now and simply move your hosting to someone that doesn't have a "WE SUCK" thread several times each week. There are lot's of good hosts for small virtuals like phatservers, DurectFiesta and many others

Best of luck. Webair's support sucks. Move to another host if you value your sites.

As for Gerard, he's my account manager too but all I know is he posts on GFY trying to drum up more unhappy customers. When I had downtime every day for well over a week I copied him on my support ticket - a support ticket that was escalated because it was not responded to in anything even resembling a timely manner - and he never replied either.

I finally moved my sites and canceled my account.

You don't deserve it for a virtual, but damn, nobody gives a shit about Virtual.

Except DWHS. I got a 'gift' account for an artist friend of mine too much of a pussy to post here. Chaz had it setup in seconds, and even if it is CPanel, he followed up immediately after I canceled rebill on my card upon prepaying a year.

I had a virtualhost with WebAir in 2006. I would not get one with them, again.

Direct Admin is a better panel and less of a resource hog.

As far as knowing that you meant at WA, sorry, I did not pick up on that. Seems that many around here feel that people with virtual accounts do not deserve the same attention as those with dedicateds.

I didn't say that DA was a piece of shit; I prefer it. However, I like to point out that it's cheaper, because it's a much better product.

And, no, I'm rather sure that WA doesn't care about virtualhosts.

I gave them 4 months, and when I finally left, they had the audacity to offer me one free month to stay after losing all of my traffic I had built up.. and lost.. every two days.

Its funny how we see 5 threads like this a week about Webair and still they win host of the year awards and still in every thread there will be some people saying they are a top notch company.

Im not sure how they manage to do that. Do they people pay to say that and win awards or what?

"This is an automated notification advising you that Billing ticket 343535 [Subject 'Cancel Account'] has transfered to the Sales queue. An agent will reply to your inquery shortly."

I guess billing doesn't care about me so I have to deal with sales.

Awards in this industry, much as others, are bought. Usually by sponsorship.

My friend got an award at mcdonalds for her work, she got a extra star etc and it made her feel real good.

I asked did you get a pay increase ? nope? extra benefits? nope!
and what came with the award ,she gets to add the job of checking trash.

Awards in every industry are bullshit

Not exactly. I received several awards when I was at GTE-CA, a few of which I have held onto as they did have some monetary value with the potential to increase in value.

Others were cash bonuses . . . tax free.

Was with webair with 2 servers for several years before things got bad. The more popular a budget host like webair is on GFY, the more business they get. The more biz they get the less support there is to go around. Lots of webair fanboys on GFY, so the honest opinions are drowned out .... but get better hosting.

Everytime I see a Webair title now I think of that song by Whitesnake... "Here We Go Again"

I'm amazed at the people that say get dedicated... if they can't virtual would you really want to trust them with a dedicated!

Soon Gerard will come in and say let me take care of this for you.

You shouldn't have to resort to a msg forum just to get a simple thing done.

Plus xbiz awards have no meaning

How many negative threads do you see a week for nat net or phatservers or mojohost or isprime?

I dont think I have ever seen one

Im sure i could find many more for all the companies if I wasted my time searching...

FACT:

Webair and Natnet are both top notch and have solid support. If you do anything in this industry then you know that statement is true, if not your most likely just a fucking surfer.

Theplanet have a good network and support (although it can be a bit slow if you need to go back and forth a few times with a ticket) but they are very inflexible and basically they suck looking after long term customers. That's why I'm moving away from them after being a customer for something like 5 years.

To stay on topic, I'll also be moving away from Webair, once I've been a customer for 6 months.

I guess I have never had a major problem that required too much support. Why do you think they suck looking after long term customers?

Because they're rigid. A long time customer who has generated $16k in revenue (not exactly a whale, but it's better than a $5/mo virtual) is treated the same as Joe who signed up last week when he asks for additional resources or products.

As an example: they refused to put my port up to 100Mbps for a month gratis. They HAD to charge me $10.

Dude you must smoke crack or sniff glue. Those natnet issues were caused by a ddos attack and were the first bad nat net issues in a very long time, webair has bad support issues/threads on almost a daily basis, webair is not even close to being in the top few good hosts that post here IMHO.
