Its really been a group effort. I however will say that you don't want to miss this. I also suggest that those attending try to lean closer to 3pm. This will be more than just hanging out, we have some things planned. Some of which might be talked about for a very long time.

For those that have never been, its a trendy BBQ restaurant in West Hollywood with a great vibe. Jean-Marie and I have watched plenty of Lakers games and NFL Sunday there, its our local place. There will be other people in the bar but we have some good space, and those others that are there are the locals that know us anyways and they have all been invited as well.

And expect it to be very crowded, apparently Jean-Marie has a lot more friends than I thought : )

If anyone needs anything or has any feedback, feel free to hit me or Mike up.

The Fun Raiser is on Saturday, May 14th, from 3pm to 6pm at Baby Blues in West Hollywood. For our party, we have reserved the bar tables and there is standing room. You are welcome to give donations, all proceeds go to the Jean-Marie fund of his choice. That's not mandatory, however, what is mandatory is that you show up wearing your fun pants. Or no pants. Or just a livestrong bracelet as a thong, then you'd be completely awesome.

Baby Blues will be doing Happy Hour specials and we will potentially be organizing a huge flash mob. Hopefully you are familiar to the theme song from Grease.

Its not an industry event. And any misconception of such would be inaccurate. Its friends, no matter what spectrum they come from, gathering to support a friend. The greater portion of my friends that will be in attendance are not in this industry.

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to reach out with a few extra details.

1) Come hungry. The food is great, they have great ribs and BBQ in general. They make their own sauces. They also make their own elves that follow you around doing magic tricks. Just kidding. Hopefully you can figure out which part I am kidding about.

2) Come thirsty. Blues is a great place to have a drink, they have really good wines, fresh mimosas and some good beers. Gabe says that anything served in a flute is "spectacular." He does say that at every bar we are at though, so not sure how much that means in terms of Baby Blues.

3) Attire: For men, completely casual. Women are encouraged to dress scantily (low cut skirts and tight shorts, yoga pants and those delightful tall boots are some suggestions). Remember, Jean-Marie doesn't feel well, he is VERY SICK, so doing things that make him feel better is encouraged. Thanks.

4) I encourage as many of you as possible to be there as close to 3pm as you can. Its going to be an interesting afternoon, you have been warned. If you like, just pretend it starts at 2:30, this way you are perceptually fashionably late by LA standards.

5) Its going to be very busy, to be honest, I had no idea that Jean-Marie had this many friends. I was planning on it just being a few Euro's talking about soccer at the bar while I filed off my left toe in the corner out of total boredom. Its clearly going to be much larger and a lot more fun.

6) Soccer will not be permitted to be playing on any of the TVs, I don't care how bad Jean-Marie wants it to happen or how sick he claims to be. Its fundamentally wrong to play soccer in this country on a bar TV.

7) Mike Majid and Catie Desjardins have been working on a raffle. Looks pretty exciting. One of the prizes involves the winner buying Catie and Mike dinner. One of the prizes is the winner treating Catie to the spa for the day. They feel like this is going to be amazingly philanthropic.

8) Women are permitted to flirt with Jean-Marie. His wife really can't say anything about this, he has cancer, that would make her look really super bad. Really super bad people end up in places not called Heaven. Something to consider.

9) There will be no discussing soccer at this event.

10) We have had some people asking about kids. This is a bar, but its also a restaurant. The tables are located in a dining room that still connects openly with the bar. Some of the party will already be in the dining room. So its a workable situation if you need it to be. We do not have tables reserved per se, that would be on you. If you need any help, let me know.

11) This is to have a good time, that's all that's expected of any of you. Lots of different friends of Jean-Marie's will certainly have their stamp on this, but the most important stamp is for everyone to have a good time. Its a joy to see everyone coming together and I know I speak for everyone when I say that we can't wait to see you all. Posts: 1,487	Don't forget to take Cory's Special advice for this event: Hi Everyone, I wanted to reach out with a few extra details. 1) Come hungry. The food is great, they have great ribs and BBQ in general. They make their own sauces. They also make their own elves that follow you around doing magic tricks. Just kidding. Hopefully you can figure out which part I am kidding about. 2) Come thirsty. Blues is a great place to have a drink, they have really good wines, fresh mimosas and some good beers. Gabe says that anything served in a flute is "spectacular." He does say that at every bar we are at though, so not sure how much that means in terms of Baby Blues. 3) Attire: For men, completely casual. Women are encouraged to dress scantily (low cut skirts and tight shorts, yoga pants and those delightful tall boots are some suggestions). Remember, Jean-Marie doesn't feel well, he is VERY SICK, so doing things that make him feel better is encouraged. Thanks. 4) I encourage as many of you as possible to be there as close to 3pm as you can. Its going to be an interesting afternoon, you have been warned. If you like, just pretend it starts at 2:30, this way you are perceptually fashionably late by LA standards. 5) Its going to be very busy, to be honest, I had no idea that Jean-Marie had this many friends. I was planning on it just being a few Euro's talking about soccer at the bar while I filed off my left toe in the corner out of total boredom. Its clearly going to be much larger and a lot more fun. 6) Soccer will not be permitted to be playing on any of the TVs, I don't care how bad Jean-Marie wants it to happen or how sick he claims to be. Its fundamentally wrong to play soccer in this country on a bar TV. 7) Mike Majid and Catie Desjardins have been working on a raffle. Looks pretty exciting. One of the prizes involves the winner buying Catie and Mike dinner. One of the prizes is the winner treating Catie to the spa for the day. They feel like this is going to be amazingly philanthropic. 8) Women are permitted to flirt with Jean-Marie. His wife really can't say anything about this, he has cancer, that would make her look really super bad. Really super bad people end up in places not called Heaven. Something to consider. 9) There will be no discussing soccer at this event. 10) We have had some people asking about kids. This is a bar, but its also a restaurant. The tables are located in a dining room that still connects openly with the bar. Some of the party will already be in the dining room. So its a workable situation if you need it to be. We do not have tables reserved per se, that would be on you. If you need any help, let me know. 11) This is to have a good time, that's all that's expected of any of you. Lots of different friends of Jean-Marie's will certainly have their stamp on this, but the most important stamp is for everyone to have a good time. Its a joy to see everyone coming together and I know I speak for everyone when I say that we can't wait to see you all.
