Yes, in Russian, generally speaking, you would refer to houses of any size outside the city as a cottage. Dachas, typically are tiny soviet shacks with a garden... not necessarily where someone lives full time, although it could also mean a bigger home. He didn't lie about points, his interpretation of what he saw differs from yours, that's all. To someone who lives in an urban environment, areas with orchards and rivers are out in the country. If you don't remember meeting this guy, doing a shoot with him and him coming to your house (which all happened) then you obviously don't remember the details of a potential deal you discussed with him. So stop speculating on what you think happened 7 years ago and just go with what he told you did, since your memory isn't what it used to be. His opinion of you was developed during his stay there, and he's conveying it now.
