The Neighbor Kids Are Driving Me FUCKING Crazy !!!

Damn, my 6 year old started hanging around with these 2 neighbor kids (7 and 8) and they're driving me and my wife absolutely CRAZY !!! They just walk right on in our house like it's their own, then you tell them to get out and they don't listen. Seriously, just sitting here trying to do some work, the boy came in here to try to scare me 3 times, then after that, he just stood there trying to tinker with my system and ask me stupid questions and asking me to play a game so he could watch. After telling him 10 times that he needs to go back outside to play with the others, he finally left, only to come BACK in the house again 10 minutes later and pull the same thing.

They're here ALL fucking day long. Even when they go to eat they're back in 5-10 minutes. They ask for snacks, drinks, and to use our bathroom when they live 3 houses away. They take out our hose and play in water after we say NO HOSE. They're too damn dense to remember what you told them not to do an hour before. I'd say so far today, they've been in our house 20-25 times, no shitting. Either they come in on their own or if my son comes in to take a piss, they're right behind him.

Luckily they switch off living between their mom and dad, so they're here for a week straight, then gone for a weeks straight. I know that I'm counting the days until they leave again, ha ha ha.

Any ideas how to get rid of them ???? ha ha ha.

haha its the same here man.

Hint one.

Let it slip out during conversation one day with their mother that you work in the adult industry, or more specific..in porn.

You'll probably see alot less of her kids.

We have a brick wall between my neighbors and us that stops sort of 2/3 the way up our yard....from there is wrought iron fencing that goes the rest of the way up. We have planted cedars where the wrought iron is and i am fertilizing those bastards like crazy trying to get them to grow as quickly as possible.

Why? Cause their kids drive us NUTS....they stand at the fence and just STARE at us...or harass our dogs. It is so hard to enjoy yourself when you feel like you are on display. Forget about a private conversation or peace while you just chill by the pool...they are there...staring you down....arrrrrrrrghhhhh

having people visiting you is a good sign and you should be thankfull for that, imagine noone would come around your place how boring would that be?

my door is always open to neighbours, I love the chat and I don't mind having company.

Not kids though, kids are annoying.. my neighbor's daughter always asks me everyday if she can "come play" and I always say "no" but she keeps asking. K, I'm 26, like I'm really "gonna play" with a 9 yr old girl, I am busy and have work/things to do.

One time I accidentally let her in and I was "too nice" to tell her to leave (because I felt a bit bad) and she was in my house for a long time talking a million miles a minute about God knows what and it was sooooooo annoying...

I only let her in my house once, and now she thinks I'm "her friend" and EVERYDAY she asks if she can come in, and I always say "I'm tired" or "I'm busy" or "I just got home and I want to rest". I always lock the door too, and just don't open when they knock. She just needs to find someone her own age to play with, lol

tell you kids there ass is grass if they invite or let the other kids in the house, the yard is ok but NO house. If they tell your kids they have 2 pee real bad, tell your kids to tell'em pee in there pants or go home and pee.

and stick by the rule never even once let them in.

Here the best way to solve the problem...

Military Style:

Evertime one of his friends fuck up make sure your son takes the heat for his friend.

Now two things can happen:

- Either he will make his friends follow your rules

- Or he won't be friends with them anymore

I watch my nephews during the summer and I have the same exact problem. The other day I had nine frigging kids in my yard and all them asking for a snack. I told them this isn't a daycare go ask your parents for food.

I found out the best way to prevent them all from coming in the house is just to lock the door. My nephews knock when they want to come back in and that way I can prevent others from entering too.

I had one parent ask if her child could stay and play while she went somewhere. I told her NO and lied and said we may go somewhere. We never did.

If your child knows not to bring his friends over, that should stop the problem. You're not responsible for somebody elses kids, so don't risk the liability.

i can relate. i've been living in a building with no kids in it for 5 years, well now there is a young mother with a couple kids. i wouldn't mind it at all if they wouldn't spend their afternoons screaming in front of my windows. i love kids but i wish they wouldn't be so damned loud all the time.

Thanks for all of the comments, I now feel better knowing that I'm not alone in having annoying children bugging me, ha ha.

As far as threatening my son, we tried it and they don't listen. My son tells them "You've gotta get out of the house otherwise I'm gonna be grounded" and they don't give a shit, they walk on in on their own, he doesn't invite them over, thus we can't really punnish him if he tries to tell them and they don't listen. Even when he says that he doesn't wanna play with them, they still hang around outside and keep asking if he's gonna come back out. THEN they go jump on our trampoline despite us saying that they can't go on it when no one is out.

Time to talk with their parents. This behavior isn't right and it almost seems like the parents could be neglecting their children and passing them on to someone else. Take action!

Big problem! Definitely time to talk to the parents. If one of those kids gets hurt on the trampoline, you will be held responsible....even if you did not know or allow them to be out there.

You have to talk to the parents...

Seems to me that most parents want to think that everyone but them are responsible for their kids. Should ANYTHING happen on your grounds the people will hold you responsible.

I have told my next door neighbors that unless I invite their children into my home they cannot come in without knocking first. If no one answers, go away and come back later...

This had to be policy after the kid next door came into my house and started cruising into my office to ask if she could take our dog out for a walk as I was working on some sites.

My advice to parents. Watch your fucking kids. You had them, watch them. Its not everyone else's job to watch your kids or to be parents for you.

They'll be back in school in a month

And Herb, dead on about it being a parent's job to watch their kids; whether that be next door, down the road or online.

Yeah, I think that I might have to go talk to their parents and see if they'll do anything about it. They came over at about 9:30am yesterday and were here until 10pm !!! Out of that time, they might've went home for 2 hours out of that time. Luckily today it's raining out, so that'll keep them away, but once it stops, they'll probably be here again.

Those comments about them not having a stable home could be true because I know that if I had partial custody of my kids and when they did come over to visit me, they were gone to the neighbors house for most of they day I'd either feel bad that they weren't with me and/or wonder if my kids are being a bother to the neighbors.

I heard a crazy story about the dad and his ex-wife that he had her name tattooed on his arm and during a fight, he took a hot iron and burned the tattoo right off his arm. He does have a pretty big ugly looking scar on his arm, so I think that I believe it.

I suppose that me and my wifey should get the balls to enforce things a little more, but since they're not our kids, it's kinda hard to put our foot down.

Ha ha, I actually have a big 100 pound dog that's a Pit Bull / German Sheppard with one blue eye and one brown eye that looks pretty intimidating, but the kids aren't afraid of him. Even when he snaps at them because they're doing stuff to piss him off, they don't care. We keep telling them to leave the dog alone, but they don't listen to that either, so we end up putting our dog away in fear that he might actually bite them.

you guys bashing the kids is just silly..its obvioulsy not thier fault they have no direction.. they only want everything they don;t have at their home..and looks like they found it at slicks house..

something is very wrong in their homelife.. definatly talk to the mom..it might not help, but at least you can get a glimpse at why these kids are the way they are

I agree its a parent issue. I'd do what parents used to do with my brothers and friends and me.
Walk them to their home, stand with them on the doorstep, ring the bell, and let the parents know whats going on and what you expect. It doesnt have to be mean spirited or confrontational. You team up with the parents for the kids benefit, and your peace of mind.

Do you have locks on your doors? If so therein lies the answer.

Simply dont provide your 6 year old with a key, everytime he knocks you or your wife stop his friends at the front door.

If he keeps coming and going you lay down the law to him as is your parental right & emphasise that he is either in or out.

If your neighbours kids go into your yard when they arent supposed to you shout in a loud voice and tell them to piss off. If you cant bring yourself to do that then let them play there & be grateful they arent going to be coming into your office unannounced.

Then consider a big fucking fence & gate arrangement....

I have had the same problem with the kids in this neighborhood, and finally had to put my foot down. Please just remember it isn't usually the kids fault.....comes from actually wanting to play and be in a place where they know someone is watching and they feel safe. Also, in a place that has boundaries....

Anyway, if you want to stay on your neighbor's good side, the best thing to do is to go over and just explain that you run your own business from home which means you need to keep things running smoothly. Which accounts for all kids out of the house by 8pm to get your kids ready for bed, and why no kids in the house during the day while you are working.

That way no one gets their feelings hurt, you don't go bankrupt feeding and entertaining all the neighborhood kids, and you manage to put down some rules that will get you some peace....
