i've seen over a dozen such startups during the past 3 years. In most cases is a failed concept since the advertiser wants the user outside the publisher's website. That's why he is paying for.

thats pretty interesting. ive seen a few companies work with interactive banners but the problem is some of the networks wont allow that

Mainstream just puts up dumb untried idea's and gets mad cash from dumb investors, its a industry in itself. It works like this.

1: Come up with dumb idea
2: Find wealthy idiot to fund it.
3: Go with the idea blowing money on frivolus shit and over pay the marketing directors.
4: Fail.
5: The concept is regarded as an interesting attempt as the brand dies horribly in consumers eyes and the marketing guys behind it pat each other on the banks. I mean Backs.
6: Developers jump out of buildings realizing how stupid they were spending 6 months learning shit for nothing.

Rinse and repeat.

Adult tries new ideas every day on a shoe string budget while using tested methods and educated guess.

90% of mainstream marketing concepts are retarded as fuck all, ineffective and exit the room with laughter and shame following them. This is why Adult is more or less stagnant when it comes to marketing. There really is nothing much more to it than getting something for people to look at and click.

IMHO I am tired of all these different platforms professional web developers are supposed to explore spend time on and learn then flush it down the fucking toilet because it was a dumb idea. ( AKA Ruby on Rails, ColdFusion, VRML and the fuck ton of other failed "Cult" API's/Frameworks).

btw, seeing what the "idea" is, I offered something similar (not even that complex, hence better IMHO) to a couple people here... 3 or 4 years ago. They felt it was interesting yet not willing to take the risk until someone else does it. BobG was going to give it a chance once he had more sites, but he was always a visionary.

So, now that SOMEONE ELSE DID IT, if anyone if interested I still have the original idea developed, may need some design adjustments due to smaller scree sizes, but other than that, this "innovation" is pretty old.

@SykkBoy: I repeat what I said above, adult NEVER innovates. NEVER. Never did, never will. Sadly, the only "innovations" you may find in adult are ways to scam people, and even those use to be copied from mainstream. I know I might sound a little (too much) cynic, but I know what I'm talking about. BY EXPERIENCE. I've fully or semi-developed ideas for innovating and ground-breaking marketing tools. I mean... ultra targeted auto filtering ads, gamification tools, super matches for cams/dating, micro sites, mobile apps... Do you think anyone in adult will try them before someone else does in mainstream? If so, you're not paying attention to this industry

The bottom line is I don't care anymore and I won't waste any more time (and/or money) to flog the "adult innovation" dead horse. And I know that, like me, there are many in this industry that feels exactly the same

PS: you don't need any fucking "cloud" to do this kind of ad tools, that is just junk to sell to ignorant people
