Definately false. No doubt about that. Why would you ask such a stupid question?

False. The internet was built for porn, whether there is any money in it is another question.

Porn will never die. The ability to tap dollars out of it is an ever changing phenomenon.

I totally disagree with this. My paysite generates plenty of signups and has been doing so for years now.

It all depends on the site and the content bro.

I agree I make a healthy living from adult, it's far from dead. It's just not as bountiful as it once was.

But saying that, it's not going to get any easier and I don't want to say that you know what phrase involving adaption and death!

That's true. Many have started since then and a few did quite well. I do think it's a lot harder now though. I remember when you could throw up an AVS site and make $500-$1000 a week from it without doing any other promotion. Just making the site and getting accepted was all that was needed. Those days are of course long gone. You can still find lucrative opportunities in 2010 but generally they require more original thinking and they are fewer and far between.

General porn is free in various forms of quality. A large amount of niches and micro niches are either avalible for free in poor quality or not available at all.

The general web has a long way to catch up with the truly perverted mind! There is still plenty of untapped ways to make money in porn, just don't go for the obvious.

False. There's still plenty of $ to be made in this industry. Sure, it's harder then it was many years ago, but the $ is still there. I know many will say tubes are killing it all. While it is dipping into the sales pool we just need to find something that actually works and not keep doing the same shit we have been doing for many years just because it worked back in 1997 to 2003 and expect the same results that we used to get.

We do need to start treating customers and potential customers better though. Think long term if you're actually serious about this. A quick buck may be nice, but when will that quick buck stop? Too many people don't treat this as a real business and still believe that as long as they put up a gallery here and there the $ will come. In the end the get nothing, but disappointment.

Needless to say, there's still plenty of $ to be made otherwise everyone would just quit.

making lots of money off adult is close to dead (comparing to 1999-2005)

unless you are a sponsor owner or you do some black hat nasty tactics like many dirty guys here do... otherwise, the honest way, almost impossible..

so we must take part of our money off mainstream to survive.

It died long ago.... there's only a handful of people left in Adult making any real $$ off of promoting sites.

And it's just the same for others (content producers, designers, Performers) in the industry as well. I remember when it was easy to get people to pay you thousands of dollars for web design in Adult for example. Back in 05 I made over 12 grand just off of 1 single client during the year. The demand was still there... people constantly opening new sites etc... Now a days you're lucky when you find someone willing to pay you a few hundred bucks for something.

Adult has basically degraded into nothing more than a Clown industry filled with broke people who expect everything for nothing because they can't turn a good profit anymore after giving all their shit away for free.

Mainstream is where all real $ is, has alway been and will always be.

Quoted for truth.

The last trend in adult is people "Thinking" they will make some cash emailing Worthless DMCA's, since they are unable to make money with their sites anymore.

A total FAIL, of course. Since you see sites like extreme-board.com or pornbb.org stay LIVE and Happy with complete site rips, and nobody can do anything.

Mainstream, there is the money, I agree.

Period.

Only a sucker pays for porn. Porn, as a business, is dying a slow death. Find a niche, any niche that makes money, and it won't for long. Because, somebody always comes along and figures the best way to be competitive and corner the market is to give it away for free. It's all a big circle jerk and very self-destructive.

fuck yea!! brb registering:

hairy-midgets-pissing-on-teen-chicks-with-dicks.com

On topic, it can never die. Ever. But that doesn't mean you will make any money slinging it. The days of throwing a TGP up and waiting for the signups from your hosted galleries are somewhat over. I say somewhat, because there are still people pushing big hits anywhere they need them, and if you throw enough shit against a wall, some of it sticks.

The fact that any monkey with a laptop can toss up a free hosted site, with free hosted galleries, with free licensed pics/vids, with free hosted vid chat .... creates an awfully tough market place for those of you who do it all legitimately.

IMO (which isnt worth a whole lot), the people who were here in the beginning, will be here in the end. Most everyone else in the middle (like me) will just fade away. The exception would be those who jump in with industry knowledge, and some sick funding. But I've seen that go sour also, and watch those attempts sizzle really fast lol.

No idea why i replied to this, or why i keep typing, so i will just end it here.

Later

Depends.

People will always be wondering that whats inside a paysite. And being able to access the material early is hobby of everyone who can afford it easily.

even my computer illiterate friends all know about redtube and youporn. Paying for porn, unless it's something extraordinary or very niche, is dead imho.
