You have a tube, if you think about it there is a way you can get that moving quickly. Buy reliable traffic, properly filtered and pump it to your niches on your tube. Start with 50k hits a day, sample, re-test, re-filter and re-order until you get a mix that suits. Bookmarkers will grow. Your tube won't be worth anything until you're doing 20k hits minimum per day reliably without traffic being bought.

@adult king - thank you so much for the help! I will give you some links on some blogs or something if you like, just pm me some sites you are promoting. Guess it's time to get my old blogs some new content and see if that jump starts some things.

If you would recommend some good places to buy traffic from, I would really appreciate it - from what I can tell, there are a lot of shady people out there selling bad traffic or spoofed traffic and that's why I have never tried going that route - I have never trusted anything but ggl results - so if you have some recommendations for decent people to work with on the traffic buying situation I would really appreciate the info.

A good place to start for traffic would be Trafficholder. There are other places, but this is who I recommend from personal experience. However be strategic about it, don't just look at $1.95 cheap traffic and say yep $1.95 per 1000 is good, it's not. Also filter your traffic purchases at Traffic holder.

You will only learn how to do this by trial and error. Ensure you have the means in place to see the metrics of what each purchase does. That's why I said test, buy, evaluate then repeat.

I firmly believe the best traffic is free. It comes from people using search engines to find what they are looking for. If you can provide them with a relevant page to what they are looking for, then provide them a way to get more of that while also providing them value (rather than just a plug or ad) then you will succeed.

I am gonna try these things - hopefully I can start making more than my hosting payments soon! I mega appreciate you taking the time to offer some useful suggestions, and I totally agree with you about building something good, and giving the surfer what they are looking for rather than some infinite loop of crap and irrelevant ads. thanks again!
