companies that sell bulk SMS msgs...
anybody know fairly good and fairly cheap solution to send out sms text msgs to people that I can implement on a website which will send sms after some command that user did? please list, thx

Connecting direct to the carriers is expensive and of course there are many of them. You will need to integrate with an aggregator that is already connected to the carriers. You can get an international shortcode if you want to hit everyone around the globe that is a part of your website. If you just want to start out by offering this to your top visited regions the cost per SMS varies on the aggregator you choose and the country you are sending them in. Shortcodes come with monthly costs but this can be reduced if you share a shortcode.

The URL you listed above is an option but i was thinking that you wanted to tie it in to functionality on your site. Third party services like this envolve uploading you VERY personal customer mobile numbers on to their DBs. If you could setup a simple SMS gateway connect to a global aggregator like IPX (www[.]ericsson[.]com/ourportfolio/ipx) you would have ful control on your data and a real flexible solution moving forward. Mobile is the future so a little investment in time and money now could mean a lot to your long term mobile strategy.
I see in your original post that your looking for a cheap option so sorry if my posts in your thread are way off the mark  |
