![]() You guys are young dumb and full of cum, go have fun. We you decide it's family time... sure you'll still have fun, but you aren't going out every weekend. Having a hell of a night, and having to wake up with infants or kids on weekends, early, is NOT how you treat yourself or your spouse, at least not very often.

Just got an email back from USAA bank.
They will not be, nor will they even consider passing on any of the fees to it's customers. Time for those of you under 27 to join the us military and get some of this bank. LOL. |

$15 for fruits and veggies, $100 for groceries and all b.s. related, $50 for gas. Gives us $40-50 a week in b.s. money, sometimes we eat pizza, sometimes I buy beer, and still can rent movies buy cigars and still have cash left over, sometimes we do nothing at all but play video games at home, and spend no extra cash. That's our LIVING cost, extra b.s. is not part of that. It's not like I pay cash online to buy tickets to the races, or airline tickets... or anything vacation or flowers, or anything like that.

It would be like me saying I only spend $50 a week on groceries. Also $35 on meat but that falls in the protein category and $10 on soap but that falls into 'personal health'. etc. Either way I guess I don't quite understand why someone would want to take out large amounts of cash, store it in a safe, carry hundreds around on them instead of just paying $5 a month to use a debit card. Or better yet keep paying $0 and use that same card as a cc. But to each his own I guess. And on a completely different subject. When you have kids you don't have to be a shut in. My wife and I have three and still go out and have fun on a regular basis. We enjoyed going out to dinner, a bar, maybe a movie or gambling before we had kids, why would our tastes change because we are now parents. Maybe not as much but if anything you appreciate the occasional strip club until 4am outing even more. You don't have to be 'young, dumb and full of cum' to go out. With that attitude and your itemized fruit costs you sound you have become that cranky old man every neighborhood has. |

Whatever you want to think, we've been spending that for while now. Because that's how I like to do it, it feels better and smarter to do it my way, to me. Yeah, we enjoy going out sometimes too... but that doesn't cost much here. $20 in drinks here and you're trashed... that's two drinks in Vegas. Not cranky at all, we live different lives.

And on an ironic note, I'm off to pick up a pizza and a $1 movie from RedBox. Maybe play some ToyStory with the 4 year old on PlayStation. ![]() |

Nope. BofA did it. They can blame Obama or Congress or whatever but that's an excuse. A greedy corps will price gouge without any provocation because they give a shit about money and fuck the consumer. Blaming anyone but BofA on this is like blaming a rape victim for getting raped because she dressed too sexy.

Hopefully the PayPal debit card stays free. I love that thing and PayPal is hooked up to my BoA account so no need for my BoA debit card anyway.

Bank of America charges the $5 on your debit card to get you to use your credit cards more so they can make more money
![]() Why the fuck anyone even ever uses a debit card? Give radome strangers access to your bank account? Fraud protection Debit cards do not give you the same fraud protection as credit cards do. The federal regulations are very different for debit cards than for credit cards when it comes to financial liability. When using a credit card, you are generally responsible for the first $50 of fraudulent charges, whereas your liability on many debit cards can be as high as $500. In addition, unlike a credit card, if there is a problem with your purchase, you are not able to withhold payment until further investigation by the credit-card company. If your debit card is stolen or lost, report it to your bank immediately. In many cases, if you wait more than 60 days to report your card lost or stolen, you could be responsible for all of the damages. Of course. always check with your bank to understand its policies and applicable state laws. Don't take this lightly: A recent study in 2007 put fraud losses from debit-card purchases at $245 million. Lost or stolen cards A debit card is like a blank check, so you need to guard the card and the number on the card. If your card gets stolen, a thief can empty your bank account in minutes. Thieves don?t even need your card. As long as they have your name and card number, they can shop online or over the phone with your card information. If your debit card is lost or stolen, call your bank immediately! Follow the phone call with a letter. Protect your debit card by holding on to your debit-card receipts and checking them against your bank statement each month. http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/231298.../#.ToaPqa4lafs

I could not imagine living without my debit cards, getting gas would be a total bitch. Whenever I get change back I just put them all in my pocket minus any coins I usually leave behind. I've been in the US now for about 2 years and I still can't figure out the difference between a penny or a dime or even their values
![]() Just having to carry around a card for everything is by far the easiest way to go and well worth $5,-

They're free, ATMs everywhere, amazing support, always refunded any fees charged to my account such as overdraft, and I called and said that I was meant to get $50 for signing up and never got it - they actually looked into the issue themselves without me having to ask again and gave me the money. I have nothing negative to say about them.

I use Regions Bank and we are getting hti with something similar. $4/month for the debit and like $15/month for the checking unless you meet a minimum deposit/direct deposit threshhold in which case they wave the $15/month.
