If it was truly 99% and they wanted change it'd be easy enough to elect any politicians/laws/rules they wanted if they actually voted. How exactly is this going to happen? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for fighting income inequality, don't like the way things are going, and so on. It makes me almost sick to live in a world where so few have so much, and not only that, but they always want more. However, how is a group like this realistically going to oppose the US government? They're not.

Law enforcement over there is simply FAR too powerful and over reaching, so there's no way a group of citizens is going to overtake that. Only chance of that happening is if the US military decides to side with the citizens, instead of the government.

So what? Democratic vote? That means fuck all, and we all know it. Democrat, Republican, doesn't matter. They all work for the corporations, not the people, so it makes no difference who gets voted in.

I'm sorry, but we're talking about groups of people who wiggle their fingers in an upwards or downwards motion to vote on shit. And these are the people who are going to bring about a revolution that reforms the US government? Not fucken likely.

Or spell it out for me. How's it going to happen? Having a vision doesn't mean shit, unless you have a plan to turn that vision into a reality.

The wiggling finger idiots in the streets are an embarrassment, but again, you are focusing on the small minority of angry people WHO ARE ACTUALLY IN THE STREET.

It's classic civil disobedience. They make it look like it was perfectly peaceful, but the truth is they were violating some silly law. It's easy to say "They were sitting on the sidewalk" but the truth is they were disturbing the peace, blocking the sidewalk, whatever. The police ordered them to move or to leave, they refused, police went to arrest them, they resisted arrest, and when you resist arrest you get a shot of pepper spray. Looks bad, but it's a lot better than being beat down with night sticks.

The really funny thing is.... These laws the police were enforcing were voted in by the 99%, and it's the tax dollars of the 99% that pays for the police. Ironic isn't it?

As well as that, the UK now has the highest level of unemployment since 1996, the Office of National Statistics revealed, with 8.3% of the economically active population now out of work. The crowd didn't move in and surround the officers until after they sprayed the students with pepper spray and started hand cuffing them. The crowd only moved in and ran the cops off after they used excessive and unnecessary force.

I'm not pro OWS nor am I anti OWS. They have some very valid and important issues that need to be addressed and changed. A lot of that message gets lost behind the loud yelling of their feelings on self entitlement. That they are owed at the expense of others for believing the hype and making bad decisions, if any decision at all. And that's why I can't be pro OWS, I've worked damn hard over my life to have what little I have, I pay my taxes and I don't owe random joe public anything.
