What happens if you have stocks in a company that gets delisted? Not that I do of course, just curious.

If they are given the opportunity by the exchange to come into compliance and do so it may be relisted but more likely it will be relisted in a smaller exchange or the pink sheets with the rest of the penny stocks. Often companies will do a reverse stock split in order to boost their share price to get back into compliance.

They'll simply do a reverse split to have a higher share price to get them by for some period of time.

First of all, their listing on the NASDAQ has fuck all to do with how big they are or how much revenue they generate.

Second, Hustler and Playboy are both fucked financially. Not good examples of "going mainstream and succeeding".

Edit: spot on you old codger.

The class actions might be a warning to many. Once this one goes through and the lawyers win. Then the next fake dating site is put in the cross hairs. These companies are sitting ducks. Get a couple of dozen of pissed off members, fake profiles, fake emails, fake geo targeting screen grabs. Play the victim up as a trusting single person who thought it was all genuine. Then goes for damages. Both financial and emotional damages here to be counted.

Maybe Wall Street was wise to more than ST thinks.

lawsuits have already happened. obviously the ftc knows and don't give a fuck about dating sites.

they have their hands full with payday loans, get rich, money making scams and dangerous and fraudulent diet product claims right now. raven riley on a dating site i'm sure is low on their priorities.

You wait until you get a letter that says they've changed names and are using what money they have left to "invest" with (ie: keep a few board members in a salaried job). Then you sell them for next to nothing in a year where it benefits you to write off the capital losses.

Profiles are a dating sites "inventory" ... Depending on fake inventory to boost the value of a company being publicly traded will not end well.

aff has had disclaimers on their banners for like 5 years now.

the only fake profiles on AFF are ones created by users pretending to be someone they arn't. This is almost impossible to stop, but it's a small percentage of the total. I'd honestly say less then 2 or 3%. thinking about that from a user perspective, it's meaningless. I use AFF as a swinger, and the vast majority of profiles in the swinging community are in fact real. I'm not saying some creep doesnt' make a fake profile of a girl sometimes cause they get off on it, it happens, but from my usage of the site, it's pretty much all legit.

Bottom line - using AFF as a swinging couple, you WILL meet people and you will get laid. If a fat bastard like me can hook up with hundreds of hot wives in couples though it, anyone can. It works, better then any other site out there.

I pray they can sort out this paperwork issue, but I'm of the feeling they're fighting in a world that has a lot of prejudice against them because of the adult connections to the business. Fact is, AFF pays, and better then most other things out there, still, after 15 years.

but haters will hate....

I would have sent them more traffic if they didn't make you meet the minimum payout on every site. I always thought that was somewhat shady. But their checks always good.

Sorry I thought you were talking about a class action on the dating scams. Is there another one?

AFF just seems like a poorly run company. Their debt is burying them alive. Ive always liked Lars though. I hope he got out on top.

Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch of guys. Anyone remember when Marc Bell was Xbiz Man of the Year? Just try and remember the people involved in this clusterfuck because once they've cashed out leaving some poor schmuck holding the bag, they'll be back to tout some new venture and how it was all someone else's fault.

Anyone who invested in this company, is going to be very pissed off. But seeing the debt mountain and the way the shares slid down, I don't suppose it will be many.

BAKO if they were so strong, why did the shares fall so fast?

With such a low market cap, it is possible that share prices could have been manipulated by even a small hedge fund. I'm not saying that's what happened, as I haven't been following the stock or the company, but it is possible.
