We are not a bank and never claimed to be.
We provide a service so webmasters do not have to wait 3-60 days to receive a check and then 2-30 days to cash it with fees that range from nothing to $20.

Based on a few tests, until now, Redpass has by far the best FX exchange rate from all 3 (Payoneer and Paxum). The other 2 are a total ripoff in terms of exchange rate mark-up.

I think this is the strongest point of Redpass, hope to keep it this way for long and not be just a startup offer..

We have no plans to change this. We own the BIN of the cards we issue so we control what fees are put on them from the issuing end and only charge $3 and no currency conversion fee.
Try comparing it to your banks buying rate on cash.

I did a test myself where I withdrew 1000 Thai Baht and compared the rate with what I would have gotten exchanging cash.
RedPass MasterCard I got a rate of: 30.52 THB per USD
Cash at Bangkok Bank rate would have been: 30.49 THB per USD

Its the same rate with POS / Online transactions so using RedPass can save you a lot in fees since POS / Online transactions are fee.
We charge $3 per ATM transaction but if you withdraw more than equivalently to $33 that is saved in currency conversion fee.

Michel, i think you should do a bigger amount test so you can show the true power of Redpass...like withdrawal of 30000 Thai Baht (aprox 1000 USD) so the FX mark-up difference will be around $30 cheaper for Redpass than the other 2..this is very very important for international webmasters/affiliates

Like this:

Rate from card: 31.25
Rate from bank: 31.12

Other tests I have done show the same results getting about the rate you get if you sell USD cash to your bank.
If you use a card with a 3% markup on exchange rates then this transaction would have costs around $1319 which means with RedPass you save almost $40 on this transaction. Do 2-3 of this size a month and it adds up to more than $1000 a year.

If you sign up for a RedPass account then you get an e-Wallet and the MasterCard is optional.
The difference between a personal and a business account is the number of transactions you can send every month, fees and limits are listed here: https://www.redpass.com/personal-account/

Depending on the number of transactions you need you need to choose between a personal and business account, you can start with a personal and if you find our a business account is a better option for you, you can upgrade your account with one click.

Yeah you know you wouldn't want the people you give your private info to use them to do something horrible like commit terrorist attacks. Right, Talia?

I'm glad you brought this up, I hope you'll support me from now in in letting people know the 'risks of sending their card numbers to people' and especially with the risks of sending private information to companies that have been linked to terrorism like Payoneer. Right, Talia?

So I went to sign up for redpass - sounds like a good deal and I had a lot of trouble with paxum anyway. I read the terms and conditions, and guess what i saw there:

7. Foreign Transactions and Transactions made outside Belize. If you make a purchase in a currency other than US Dollars or in a country other than Belize , this will be considered a foreign transaction. Transactions in a currency other than US Dollars will be converted to U.S. Dollars. The currency conversion rate used by MasterCard® is either a wholesale market rate or the government-mandated rate in effect one day prior to the processing date for the transaction. The currency conversion rate used by MasterCard® on the processing date may differ from the rate in effect on the transaction date or on the date that the transaction posts to your Card Account. We may charge an additional foreign transaction fee of up to 3%.

So is the whole no fx fee just to get us to sign up and then you will add it on later? Because other than that, you are more expensive than paxum AND payoneer.

$45 card fee - same as paxum, both of you have no monthly fees. If you remove the $13 activation fee from payoneer (which is lower for my sponsor - it's only $4), then that leaves $32, divided by the 12 months that means $3 monthly fee. from what I understand here, most people here don't pay $3 every month because they use the card a lot and it's only $1, and then if you take the next years, there is no activation fee, so the "yearly" fee at most for payoneer is at most $36.

redpass and payoneer has the same atm fee up front (though my sponsor has lower atm fee for payoneer) and paxum is better in that - only $2, but then there's the POS fee on paxum that's $1 and free for redpass and payoneer.

so the way i see it, once you start charging us for the up to 3% rate, you are more expensive than paxum AND payoneer. i don't have my paxum card yet, and i haven't gotten my payoneer card yet either so i probably won't make it in time for the free card promotion, so then the fees really aren't better.

sooooo what about that 3% that you can take whenever you decide to take it? how do we know you won't take it later on? and will you be emailing everyone when you do?

oh and the moeloubani dude - you're insane. i have seen you write this stuff before and i can't find any lawsuits or investigations, an seriously if paypal had cards at the time it could have been then. and all the chick did was try to make sure we are all keeping our cards safe - the same comment goes for paxum, why would you give our your card numbers when a simple script can find all of the missing digits in minutes?

Oh and also = what do you mean by "counts as a foreign transaction" - why do you say that? What does it mean? is there something there too that we need to know about?

We can charge up to 3% but we don't and have no plans to do so. IF we did we would announce it and you can always compare the exchange you get with RedPass to the cash exchange rate in your country to make sure you do not see any markups, and our fees page say we do not charge any mark up.

Since we will not charge the extra fee we are cheaper than Paxum on most fees and on the exchange rate.
Regarding Payoneer you do not have to pay the up to 3% rate and you get instant access to your funds, do you pay to load your card? Lets say you pay $12 a year for your card thats a $33 cheaper than RedPass, so if you withdraw $1000 during those 12 months over $1000 then the pricing is the same, more than $1000 a year you save money.

Its just how the transaction is classified, some banks put a foreign transaction fee on USD card, even when issued in USA, if the cards are used online with a non USA based company even if you pay in USD on the company's website or if you take out USD from a ATM in Cambodia for example.

that cuts me out of the equation. I don't leave my $ in any account anywhere, not even my real banks, after the epass scam.
