If I had money... I'd open up a business selling older exotic cars. Like that TV show "Chasing Classic Cars". Buy older exotic cars, fix them up, and then sell them. Can't miss - buy an older Ferrari, fix a few things, clean it up, put it for sale at a profit and sit on it until it sells. My step father did this when I was a kid really - He would fly to Europe, buy older sports cars, bring them back to the US, and sell them.

Glad you are enjoying your retirement in style, Shap! At least you have plenty of time now to find and start your next business venture at your own pace.

this may sound strange

look at kickstarter.com

you would be surprised at how many good ideas fail to get funding because they don't understand things like seo, proper social media marketing.

there good money in redoing those failed projects.

While not a bad idea, and I'm sure it would make money... It's hard as fuck to scale it, since there's obviously a significant scarcity of older cars.

Besides, it would require A LOT of work on the part of the owner. I'm sure Shap is looking for a more hands-free biz op, where he can be the brain in the operation and others do the work.

If you're looking for aged mainstream domains without sites and have specific niches you are interested in hit me up. Usually have 400-800 mainstream .com domains at all times, currently rebuilding database/domain sales site so not publicly listed at this time.

do something in an area of interest you have some real passion for - then brainstorm, look around at what's out on the web on that area of interest and do it better with a new spin.

amazing house - come on, give us an idea how much that place rents for!

If you are really interested in mainstream, flippa and other mainstream sites are worth a view every once in awhile. However I've never seen any really good sites being listed.

If you want to keep up on trends, get yourself into a few mainstream affiliate networks and keep up on the new campaigns, goto affiliate summit and leadscon, frequent a few of the mainstream forums (NOT DP), keep up on startup news sites techcrunch etc.

If I were you... and unfortunately for you, I am not. ;)... I would look into brick and mortar. Plenty of businesses you can start with what you would now consider measly capital and generate large amounts of income. Fully managed by others...

The owner says the asking price for the house is $26,000,000. It rents for $20,000 a week in the winter and $60,000 a week in the summer. I did a lot of research when I was looking for a rental and had a pretty good idea of what I could get for the money. Before making my final decision I took a chance and see if I could get a deal from this guy. I was able to work him down to $30,000 a month. Probably sounds crazy but from the research I did a steal for this house in this area.

the name is the idea. because cloud really doesnt have one particular meaning. people will rarely search for "Software as a service" or "Virtualized VMware Hosting" etc...

At the same time, its good to have Cloud in the domain, getting a 1 worded and branding it is something i typically like better. (edit)
